I have no idea where this should go, whether its technical a proposal whatever.
Currently when you use one firesword it is quicker than using two, this dosent make sense as you should be able to attack twice as fast when holding two weapons.
Is this a mistake, on purpose what?
Using two weapons

One firesword and a knights shield is quicker than two fireswords.
hmm how can I explain this.
With one firesword you can swing at say one swing per round the knights shield used for parry. However with two fireswords you have the ability to swing both in one round therefore creating either the same rate of swinging with double damage or two seperate swings.
So instead of Swing Parry, with two it would be swing swing, thus creating a faster rate of attack.
And its the same for daggers and unless I'm mistaken you can deliver faster jabs with two daggers than with one.

Gun, I suppose you have never held a sword before not counting two swords at a time. I suppose you can try with baseball bats, well, when you swing, you do not only use 1 arm's strength, you use back muscles as well. Now, hold a shield and moving very little isnt tiring, but swing two baseball bats is very tiring very quickly.
You could swing two daggers, or even possibly short swords, as they are light and only require 1 arm.
But also try thinking of whether your character is right or left handed.Don't assume your character is Ambidextrous. If you are right handed, it would be hard to swing one weapon in your left hand and one in your right.

Apart from the game for a second, I could tell about my real life experience. It really depends on the way you are trained in a particular martial art. Before I moved to US, I served as a marine in Russian military. I know how to fight on knives, and I am ambidextrous with short blades, which means, that indeed, I can easily perform absolutely identical movements at the same time with two knives, and I do it as naturally as I walk, breathe, talk. Training made it a matter of habit. Pracitce swordplay for a while, and you will automatically gain intuitive reflexes about using a partivular weapon, because your body adjusts to the weight, balance, and length of the weapon you're working with.
When I work with two knives, I am, indeed, capable of being more efficient and fast in my attacks. After practicing with 2 knives for 30 minutes, and then coming back to single weapon excercise, it feels like your arm got removed. You notice a gap in time between things you can do, like parries and attacks.
However, if you gave me a heavy weapon, which I have a very vague idea how to correctly use, I bet my head that two long swords would feel more awkward in my hands then one.
I think that rather then ruling out something like "2 swords are slower than one", the skill should be a matter of experience. If the character starts training him/herself using two long swords, his rates of attack should slowly increase as he/she advances in his craft. However, the rate should have a sensible limit, and should be slower, than, say, a rate of 2 small knives handled by a professional. No matter how good you are, you won;t handle 2 swords faster than 2 knives, you sort of see what I'm saying? You should gain rate as you practice different strategies of combat. But it shouldn't be fast enough to be noticeable. You should become better very slowly. 2 months of training should give you a tiny baby step forward.
Sorry for being so long and annoying. No offense was meant to anyone's opinion. Besides, I am not active yet, so I have no idea how the game works, and I hate to be a smart ass.
