Ogre Invasion!

Today, there was an ogre invasion force on the west shores of our beloved Trolls Bane. I was mining and smithing when I heard drums beating off to the west. My heart skipped a beat and I immediately ran to my depot to drop off my ores and get my bow and arrow.
The fighting took place near the Library and in the grass west of the library. Trice, Sevious and another human I didn't get the name of fought them hand to hand, while Moathia and myself stood back and fired arrows and magic. Later on Draakon came and then we really began to take ground on the invasion force. We managed to push them all the back against the seas and they were all slaughtered.
Sevious and Moathia both got injured, and I think we should all aplaud their courage for fighting such a dangerous fight.
There was nearly 40 or so ogres that invaded.
Here are some questions, where did they come from? Who sent them? Why did he/she send them? How did they get here?

Twas indeed fierce drums that sounded an echo reaching far across the lands, I was walking in the western forrest lands thru the quiet woods as I heard them... A bad feeling about the ongoings in and around town latley has plauged my mind and as I heard the drums sound my blood turned cold as the air did blow a quiet chilly breeze. I returned to the town as walking the woods alone did not seem like the best of things to do at the time. I went to the shop crossing the quiet streets and saw a friend whom I told to prepare himself for what may come.

A hafling man came from the west side of town screaming of ogres invading, he looked scared and as soon as I heard him I knew what had sounded the drums wich still echoed in my ears. I readied my bow and went to see for myself hoping noone was near the beasts and risking to get hurt and perhaps to aid them in escaping with some arrows should someone be in need of the help. I took the northern road towards the croos at the east of the silverstar shop, hoping I would be able to sneak close enough to determine the threat.
But alas when I rounded the corner of the library the ground shook as giant feet thundered thru the street, two of the beasts came at me with fierce speed and wielding giant club like weapons. There was no time to escape but I managed to unstrat my shield from my back and got it up just in time as the first fierce blow struck. It was so fierce that I went to one knee and a surge of pain ran thru my arm, I shouted for help but none came, I know now why.
I drew my blade and cut the huge beast infront of me in the leg making it stumble to the ground and I retreated with haste across the bridge towards the now abandonned temple. I ran and hid behind some trees as I had seen yet two more coming at me from behind the silverstar shop I was outnumbered and alone. But taking what little cover the forrest could provide me with I had time to take my bow up and shoot them down one by one, running hiding and shooting with great pain in my arm I managed to fend them off eventually.

As I returned into town again I heard the sound of battle to the west and saw all who Bumbol just mentioned fighting for their lives highly outnumbered by a dozen of the ogres who seemed to just keep coming. I came just in time to see the lady Moathia and Sir Sevious wounded as the other three kept fighting. Still in pain I drew my sword with my injured arm and shieled myself as best I could with my stronger, the battle was violent but all fought with great valor desperatley trying to drive the invasion back. Moathia returned still wounded to aid us all yet again with her magics, working together we managed to take them down one by one suffering minor bruises as we worked together. The ogres body is strong but it's mind has much yet to be desired for they did not work very well together or else surley they would have beaten us all down with their numbers.

I thank you all for the great effort to save the town, but I fear this may just be the start so everyone be ready and stay alert for if they have come once they may do so again...

New invasion force has tried again, but failed. Spiders and Rotworms came south of the tavern and north of the library. Many more people were there to fight them off then when the ogres came, but they were far stronger then the ogres.
Many one our side got injured. But victory was ours. Get ready for another attack.

As it seems, the monsters did not vanish... obviously, they are gathering somewhere.

I advise all people to stay near cover, dont go walking alone unless you are capable of defending against half a dozen spiders and a rot worm, keep your armour nearby at all times and always carry a weapon.

Also, if you would like I can try to set up some form of patrol systems again, theese will be patchy and cannot be in place all the time but they will help, today 3 people were killed before defenders even realise we were under attack.

Me will stands guard at north place of town. Others some, we make patrols. Me suggest using doves or swamp flies to carry messages. Fly faster than wez can run. So everyone make sure at least one carry dove in watchpoints and patrol.

The monsters obviously did not vanish, they started a war with us! I for one have no problem with taking on a dozen or so Ogre's and I will survive, everyone prepare themselves for war! Help will usually not arrive in time to save you, so be on guard at all times and try not to leave town alone or without your armor!! I for one am ready for a good fight!!

Finnaly...my families name is being avenged. Those stupid monsters took my father away...now,they will be punished. My son...though he won't have much Im afriad, will help in anyway he can!

In time like these, when battle is coming near, our hatred of others is at the worst. We should forgive eachother in times like these and punish later, if teh battles yet to come did not punish our hated.
Also, weapons and armors are needed. My guild, teh Bargen Masters, adn our subdivisions(ICS, run by Paul adn the Druiding Company, run my Deats) shall be selling round the clock to supply you with necesities to survive and help others during the battles to come
