I may sound like an idiot but I really need this question answered

Ok to make a character (my first one) I download the game double click it, then click make new, make his stats yada yada yada. Then I go to the sight click account requset, then type the charecters name and pssword then wait for them to reply?

yes basically you will get some replies and you will eventually get an
e-mail asking some questions and you answer these and return it then you will get an e-mail either saying that you are accepted or not depending on you answers to the questions
