i cant get illarion installed in to linux can any one help.

You'll need to give a bit more info than that.
Illarion needs Java to work. There are multiple java vms, but if you open the software centre and search, you should find the Sun(/Oracle) Java one.
Once that's installed - it should be as simple as choosing "Play Game" and you're ready.
Altnerativly, you can get it from here:
http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp
But this might require a bit of manual-playing around.

You need to run the jnlp-file with the launcher; check this out:

Supposidly when you click the link you should get a popup like this:

Just open it with the Web Launcher.
If you still have problems try this one:
