I screwed up on the 1 billion population question.
Notice the Americans very low score on most questions of that quiz (no offence guys) Even the "Where is USA on this map?" question <smirk>

Yes, well, Americans are idiots, so there.
. Can't rub it in my face. I got a 18/20. I got the El Niño question wrong and the Kashmir question. I could have sworn Kashmir used to be part of Russia, so thats why I put my answer. But hey, I'm not the average stupid American. I got a 1310 on the SATs, a test used for high schoolers to see if they can get admission to colleges. The maximum score is a 1600. Oh yeah, and I'm 13 years old.

It doesn't surprise me that the people outside of America are so much smarter in these tests. Intelligence actually means something to them... I would say that 70% of the US citizens (if not more) are so addicted to television and movies and video games that they have little respect for intelligence. I personally like to learn, though I'm lazy.. kind of a strange dilema I have really
I got 18/20 on that test, which I would say is not too shabby considering 75% of the surveyed people in the US didn't know an average of how many people we have and about 80% couldn't locate Afghanistan....
About the SAT's... I wouldn't feel too proud if I got 1300. I would feel content. Its absolutely horrible that most of the people of the US aren't properly taught. If americans were properly taught, we would likely all get 1300, or 1400, or 1500 on the SATs rather than 1100.. or lower. I guess in general, I'm just completely disappointed with America... Maybe I'll move to Europe
.
I checked out that anti-america site... its pretty funny since its quite true in most cases.
On a side note... Its not that I hate America.. I love my country. I nearly cried on the September 11th tragedy. However, I will not be blind to what America does wrong, especially in their education..
Well, now that I have rambled on and on to no real point.. you're all likely blind from the strain
I hope you enjoyed my inane rambling!

I scored 1400 on the SAT, but that was 13 years ago.
I'm 30 years old now.
I still only got 18/20.
By the way lets cut out the "anti-american" comments please.
If you REALLY mean what you say when you say "no offense" than don't say what you were going to say in the first place.
I have never said anything bad about any other countries and I would appreciate the same courtesy please.
There are bad and good people in all countries.
Not bad countries, just bad people.
Thank You.

Okay, to put in my piece, America may not be the greatest country, but I support it because I live in it. We enjoy a lot of freedom, and don't need to worry about the military police knocking our doors down constantly. Oh, and don't be surprised if you see hatemail from me on that website. I'll tell you when he puts my letter up.
And as long as we are bashing countries, not that France has won a single war, and that was against themselves. And the London crimerate is EXTREMELY high, and you need to pay a tax of $8 just to ride on the streets. Also, note that Germany has started 2 world wars, in which America was a big force in winning, and we WON BACK Sweden after Nazi Germany took it over, so don't complain about not wanting America to liberate you. And Switzerland... I won't go there.

Every country has their faults. For example, Canada had a terrorism problem in the 1970s' in the province of Quebec, which is mainly a French Speaking country. The FLQ (I believe it was Federation pour le Liberation de Quebec, although I may be wrong) placed bombs in mailboxes, in front of stores with English signs and other things. They kidnapped The British Trade Commisioner (I think that was what it was called, unfortuneatly I don't know where my book is) and a Quebec cabinet minister. Once they murdered Pierre Laporte (the Cabinet Minister) Canada invoked a special act called "The War Measures Act" which basically took the rights away from the citizens.
The Prime Minster at the time, Pierre Eliott Trudeau had been avocating human rights for as long as he had been in politics but decided it was necessary to temporaliy take away the rights of Canada's citizens in order to restore order in Quebec.
As you can see, no country in the world is perfect, except maybe Switzerland because of their chocolate (just kidding). Every country has their shortcomings but every country has non short-comings, for lack of a better phrase I can think of. We all must keep this in mind when we view all countries, even our own.

Please not again a discussion about war.
Paul Laffing, that´s your third try to start a topic about war, and always the same arguments, i am tired of this.
Yes ameria is the best country at all, because they bring us all peace and freedom...... mei
p.s. Already in the school i was faszinated how many kids thought that they know all about warfare, always a pleasure to see that haven´t anything changed.
