I would like to take this time to thank Galdriel and anyone else who helps with the account system. (I thought Cosma did the accounts?)

They have been getting a lot of flames because of the new account system (including me

). But after visiting some other sites I would like to thank them.

Keep up the good work.

What if it were to happen? What if a bunch of hackers went threw the system?! They could turn all the human graphics into small dogs. They would turn the orcs into dwarfs, and the dwarfs into orcs! The female elf character would be bald. The sheep would have no wool. Eliza would be a depot! To top it all off, what if they were to delete some land? There would only be 5 tiles on the world of Illarion. (All grass.)

No, I'm joking, none of this would happen.

Basically I was the ONLY person in the game that had a actual uhhhh NAME. Just go ahead to runescape.com and see how lame it is. No one even says hi to you when your new. They say "shutup you stupid noob!!! Go find someone who cares!"

Runescape is about the worst game to deal with names, gameplay, graphics, people, and grammer. hehe. Grammer is a big one. Tibia isn't nearly as bad as Runescape. Runescape, everyone in that game had numbers in their name.

Another reason of these really silly foolish names is not because people don't have imaginations but, everything cool is taken by other people. There are hardly no names left for other people. With such a huge population there isn't much room. Illarion is a lot smaller than both Tibia and Runescape. You must think about that too.

I don't think this is true. If you realy make up a name, it is hardly possible, that it is already taken.
Suppose every name has 11 letters and, the 2nd, 5th, 8th and 11this a vowel.
This would give you an amount of
21^7*5^4 names (which is somethin about 1250 Billion possible names!)
There are even more names with 12 letters, 13 ..., with less or more vowels and even more if you allow letters like á, ê ...
If Runescape had 1 Billion players and you limit the names to those 11 letter names as I supposed, you would have a chance of about 0,08% to choose an already taken name.
If you don't think so, try to create some of those names in runescape:
Wenseklodli
Todrifnakma
Rigsejlugwo
Datnogrobro

These might sound stupid, but to require a name to have 11 letters with a vowel at position 2,5,8,11 is stupid anyway, but was required to simplify the calculation above.

If you are so uncreative to choose a name from a book or film, like Gandalf, Rincewind or Merlin, I am sure, it will be taken, because most other players were as uncreative.

Actually I did try to make creative names on that one. I put in Valoris. I don't know how that one was taken. Runescape was when I first created Kasume though.

Actually Bror, they key is looking up existing names in places that your average uncreative soul wouldnt look.

See if anyone can find who Guingalan was.
