Question concerning running the game

Yo. For some reason I can't download Illarion. I have vista, so I'm assuming its to do with my graphics driver. Has anyone else had this problem, and did they update their graphics driver or something? If so, how? I'm techno-illiterate.

Downloading an application has nothing to do with graphics drivers. Keeping them up to date is good, especially if you run windows vista. What happens if you click this link?

Do you have a Java runtime environment on your computer? If not:

You can check this by: Start->Run->javaws -viewer

Basically I click the first file, it asks me whether to open or save, I click open and it asks which program i should use to run the program. Nothing works after that.

I've had Java for ages. Java 6 update 18 apparantly.

You have to run the file with java webstart. If your browser does not offer this option, your java installation is messed up.

I've reinstalled java, and it seems to be working again.
