............................................................................................................................................Fly, fly little wing
.................................................................................................................................Fly, where only angels sing
...................................................................................................................................Fly away, the time is right
.........................................................................................................................................Go now, find the light.
..........................................................................................................................................Fly, fly do not fear
.......................................................................................................................Don't waste a breath, don't shed a tear
..........................................................................................................................Your heart is pure, your soul is free
............................................................................................................................Be on your way, don't wait for me
................................................................................................................................Above the universe you'll climb
..................................................................................................................................On beyond the hands of time
............................................................................................................................The moon will rise, the sun will set
........................................................................................................................................But I .. I won't forget
The words were hushed in a slow, crooning melody as Ashayen's eyes were fixed onto a particular spot upon the snow. Kneeling under a huge tree with her pale fingers carefully wrapped around a single flower she slowly began to lean in, dipping the stem of the tender nightangels blossom into the covering of snow, surprised that her hand was steady, since her insides were shaking apart.
There she was sitting now, by the grave of her baby. Dead, since years. The strolls to the grave became rare over the time, but not less intensive. The memories clung on her as if it happened just days ago. It was her utmost desire.. his too.. but with the death of their baby several years ago everything changed and now..
Now it was the time to finally let go of it. Of course those memories would always remain inside her, but it was time to let them come to a rest.
Life is not stopping, instead it goes on and on, so why not finally giving way to the future.. as a growing family.. they both joined in new flesh and blood.
Ashayen dropped her gaze to the hand which withdrew from the flower and a mildly amused smile flickered on her lips. The feeling of his heart, which was pounding like a hammer inside his chest just some hours ago when he finally opened himself to tell her about his desire, still lingered around her fingers and she can't remember if she ever felt such nervousness from him before. But it was comprehensible and she wondered if he knew that his whisper would cause an emotional rollercoaster which in the end made her silently curse that she, once again, fell back to the bad memories instead of letting the joy into her heart, for once. It felt as if she would have ruined the moment but he was there, soothing her pain and verbally giving her strength.
They were meant to be, together.. and forever. Long lost words were whispered slowly to each other as their warm gazes began to melt together before their lips just did the same, silently sealing what just has been said.
She rose from the ground, brushed over the soaked parts of her dark robe around her legs which now felt cold and somewhat heavy to move as she spun around on her heels with her hands coming up to tug the hood over her pitch-black hair and so she slowly made her way back to their sanctuary, leaving the past behind herself.
She was free.
He was free.
Eyda too.
Everything was simply perfect at the moment and she couldn't help but to smirk when strolling between some apple trees with the snow creaking under the sole of her boots with each step. And with this perfectness quite chaotic thoughts begun to spark up in the minds of these dark souls.
She was not sure in how far the plan to murder would develop, but she gave him the delighted promise to help, support and attend.
But much more important was their house. Eyda finally knew about the plan and, to Ashayen's surprise, understood it very well that her parents presume that the offer for getting the house back, just Ashayen alone, would be a trap for Edward. It was just not worth the risk.
Pacing the dimmed room with the bit of warmth that was radiating from the quietly creaking fire, leaving wet footsteps upon the floor as the snow from her boots was melting, Ashayen suddenly stopped with her pale eyes staring at what appeared to be a bundle and a small book, right next to the sleeping Eyda. She didn't notice the things before but that book.. was it really the book from the house? So then.. she was there.
A vague smile curled the corners of her mouth weakly upwards and her eyes settled over to the sleeping Edward to whom she carefully slipped to under the blanket. A hushed whisper, barely audible, began leaving her mouth as she snuggled her face against the side of his warm neck, her lips leaving a gentle, lingering kiss for good night.
"You're worth the whole trouble, be it the trouble we already have endured or the trouble which may come within the next months, years. I lo-.." the words trail off within the kiss.
