Back then there was Trollsbane, Northerot, and Silverbrand, and it was really hard to get into Silverbrand without knowing German and it was hard to get to Northerot in general. Trollsbane.

Twas pretty fun, really liked the newfangled roleplay thing.
There was a dance contest on that day, so there were quite a few players (10 at least !!!), stayed watching people dance, then randomly #me clapping or something and walk away. Everyone else was pretty silent

I never got clouded, though not for lack of trying. I couldn't understand that you needed to talk to NPCs (using keywords), so when everyone was sending me to the rose to buy a tool from Sam, I didn't work out that Sam was the silent person who didn't want to talk to me. Then a guy says he;ll take me, and tells me that Sam lives in a hut around the castle. He then proceeds to attempt to PK me. I hid in a building shadow and ran. *phew*

He is an archer. He was pretty badly beaten up by a stone golem though and lost his bow so he suddenly became a better carpenter than archer, but he still see himself as an archer, so I guess he is still on the path after a short vacation.

Troll's Bane, basically because I arrived there in the beginning, later I stayed since it seemed to be a good place, he won't stay for longer times in Troll's Bane since the prince though.

What did you first do? Walked North to the Grey Rose 'cause noone was in Bane at the time, talked to Sam for a while, thinking he was an AFK player and not an NPC, walked back down to Bane and observed.
What 'class' was your first char? Did he/she stray on this path, or did they become a master at that? This was in the day that you said "I want to be a magician/fighter/craftsman" when you first logged in and then were given relevant items. I chose magician and yes, he is a master at it.

How was it? Shit, for want of a better word. The graphics and game engine was far from what it is now back when I started. There were two orks (no one else was ever really on, player base was so small) and they just killed repeatedly anyone who was around....for days... everyday I was on.

I went into the tavern and I met some dude...still don't know who it was, who explained how the controls work, and how to rotate the character. (I was having trouble placing Sssari correctly on a chair.)
He also informed me I could not "Change the View."
