I understand Kirtar left after some feud with Bumbol. Temporarliy we are not accepting members till Ezo returns, he is the recruiting guy. Also, I think it would be best to wait till the dust has settled in this war and see how you stand after it.
((Sorry I couldnt get on on Monday like I said I was. I am having some ooc problems but I will get back when I can.))

Guingalan, I do not intend to intefere with their affairs.
Bumbol, this war was born not by a guild. Darlok is after the individuals and I do not believe at this time we are of good numbers or strenght to fight such a war.
There has also been a lot of shadow cast over the reasons to this war. As far as I know someone of your guild had another of it's member assassinated.
I can not agree to help in fighting but I urge any members whom see any of this to heal all injured, I will send word to Boremier and Ezo and ask what they think but for now I cannot commit to a war we know little about, we have a reputation to uphold .. my apologies.
I ask the members for their thoughts on this war also.

A fair warning, to all who intend to assist in healing the injured:
I do not believe that you should involve yourselves in the healing of either side during this "war." It is actually more of a skirmish than a war, but that is not the point. The point is, Darlok is likely to consider anyone who heals his opponent to be potential enemies, thus he shall declare against them as well. This is no silly matter, though the reasons do seem frivilous.

What makes you think that war brings justice? War only brings chaos and death. There is nothing 'just' about war, and therefore anything may apply. In war, there is no honour. If you want honour, duel someone. In war there is no peace to be fought for, as both sides are turned violently from their morals. If you want peace, become a hermit. There is no point in calling war by a name resembling "just." In the darkness of war, all die eventually.

So you live in a land where evil reigns. You work all day and most of the night. You earn nothing, you have nothing. Your people are under the control of an army who take everything you ever loved and destroy it. You life is restricted to the point where you can do nothing .. that is no life. You can't speak out or you die, you can't run or they will catch and destroy you. If you escape they are always behind you, and you can't win. You form a group of people secretly till your numbers are big enough, you stike out and seize territory, using plundered weapons to fight your cause. You kill the evil that ruled and the people are free. Was their war against evil just?
I am not saying this is the case, but war can be just. I do not know much about this war, all I want is to see this war and understand it's meaning.

I have just recieved word from someone and it has made everything VERY clear. Darlok is only in it for money. Members, we are allied to the Hobbiteers, as the other Guild leaders are away I ask for your opinions. What do you think should be done to save these hobbits as they cannot by any means afford to pay the ammount asked of them.

UCA,
please take to note that i have no war with the Hobbiteers as a Guild, it just happend to be that some of the Combatants are Member of this Group.
So please dont use an ally to a Guild, that is not official involved into this, as excuse for a intervention.
Please also take to note that Bumbol Woodstocks word are not very thrustworth, as he changed Sides of War often and is also involved in some cowardly Tactics angains Innocents and Unarmed.
If you still wish to jion the War, please do it as Individuals.
But dont disturb the Peace Neogations taking place right now.

Darlok, Crosis told me the peace negotiations are over. He denied you your money. You are not getting any money or anything. This is the treaty, we stop fighting, no one dies.
UCA, you have no idea how great it is to hear that you are willing to help us. And yes, it is the Hobbiteers, the Hobbiteers have gotten involved since its leader and 2 other members are on Darloks hit list. Once again thank you.

As time goes on, it seemed to be more and more obvious, that you like the war and that you are the one, forcing the war, that it won't end.
Changing the sides, changing the guilds, changing the opinions!
As talking to Darlok, I know, that he is interested in laying this quarrel down and making peace.
Don't put again oil in this small fire of war!
Or shall Bumbol Woodstock go into the chronicles of Illarion as the one, who was responsible for a great war guilds against guilds?
I and others will watch carefully your actions and if it is truth, that you are the one, who let the war going on and become much greater, we shall hold judge over you.

Aragon, if you want peace so bad, why don't you give Darlok all the money he wants? Ok? because that if what he wants. I sent two peace treaties to Darlok. He denied both because he did not get anything out of it. Both were simple, we stop fighting no one dies. You think I want this war? I don't want someone I hold dear to get into the middle of this. But I won't give Darlok any money, that will make him think everytime he wages war on us hobbits he will get money.

Cain writes a heart-felt message, taking special note to make every word true to himself:
"Guild of UCA and all its members within,
Over the course of roughly two months, I have been in your services, hoping for something to stake my claim to. Something to say I helped to accomplish. Unfortunately, in these two long months, nothing of the sort has been done to my hopes. Meetings are not every part of a guild. There must also be action. I realize that there is action being taken, the UCA entering some war, however it is this action that has brought me to my final course to decision.
I do not believe that the UCA should rush in to help a guild of hobbits when they themselves are not the target. The Hobbitteers is not a target of war, they involved themselves because three of their members are blacklisted. I do not say there is anything wrong with this, but they technically put themselves in this position and therefore have no right to ask anyone's help in this matter. If anyone is truly curious as to what my exact reasons for leaving are, here is a list:
1. Involving the entire guild in a pointless war
2. Lack of motivated movement towards other matters in town.
3. Lack of discussion within the guilds about guild related matters.
4. My own lack of activity within this guild
5. Keep myself out of the public news
I do not believe there is any way to convince me, though anyone who is certain his mind is made up may also think this. If you think you can convince me to stay, go ahead and try, though I do not know how effective that shall be. I do have one regret for leaving, I suppose. I fear that my friendships within the guild will be soiled for my leaving. And that I may not see them as often as I would like.
It has been far too long that I have waited to leave this guild. I honestly should have a while ago, however my friends inadvertantly kept me here. I felt confined by that until now. I think I shall stay out of the public eye for a while and maybe take up a new hobby or something of the like. I realize that I have made no contributions besides my good name to this guild. I suppose this is another reason I feel I should leave. I do not offer any firm support to any purpose of this guild and feel somewhat guilty for this. I hope you all forgive that of me. Maybe one day I shall return to this guild, though I doubt it, so do not hold your breath in waiting. I just want to give you all a small sense of hope, if you really want it.
I suppose now would be a good time to give my farewells. Fare well to you all. May your paths be lit by the light of understanding and your journies always lead you back home.
Yours truly,
Cain Sebastian Freemont"
Cain finishes writing and posts it hastily onto the message boards, as though he were in a hurry. The post hangs slightly crooked and looks as though it will fall off.

Cain, although I do not wish to see you leave the guild I understand your need to do so, even though it is with a heavy heart. Do not even consider your friendships to be in danger for your choice. Remember that it is your choice and the friends you have within the guild will stay just that, your friends. Take care my friend.

Yes cain you are correct, but this war isnt entirely pointless, it was so dorlak could get money. This group of bandits needs to be stopped, not necessarily by killing but stopped. This is my conclusion of course unless i am proved otherwise, which i have not seen darlok even in the slightest attempt do.

We are not at war. I am still discussing it with Boremier and Ezo, but you must understand that they are far away and the letters I receive are days old and often in poor condition due to the weather the messenger birds fly through.
If we were to be entering a war then I would clearly announce it. Any members wishing to be involved may do so but not under the name of the guild! We are still deliberating this matter.

Thank you Myers. You seem to be the only one whom has responded to my announcement without trying to change what I had said. I am glad that you understand why it is I leave and hope to see you in town sometime again. I bid you a fond farewell as I do with Drathe and Ezo, whom I also hold close. Farewell, my friends.Myers wrote:Cain, although I do not wish to see you leave the guild I understand your need to do so, even though it is with a heavy heart.
