I think it is good, that there exist no safe trade system, because so have thiefs opportunities to snaffle.

Do we have a "Safe Trade" in RL? No?
Do we need a "Safe Trade" in Illarion? No?

Yes, trading from one hand to the other hand *grins*

I hope nobody say now "we are here in a roleplay not in the reality" and so your arguments don´t obtain.

Trading from Hand to Hand is not save.

Safe Trade is when a seperated window apears which only you can access to veriefy the traded objetcs. Such thing does not happen when i buy something in the Store.
The Salesman has to trust me, that i dont run away with the goods, and i have to trust the Salesman, that i get the things i wanted.

By the way, if someone comes with the nice line "This is only a game", i can say "Its a Roleplaygame with a sense of realism".

First, we misunderstood us.

Secound, sure you can say it or "we", but it seem so that some persons didn´t realize it, or don´t want to say "You´re right".

In reality you don't throw stuff on the ground when trading. You swap items by hand which is safer than throwing them on the ground.

Viola's ideal would probably fall under pickpocket skill.

I say in order to trade safe, just go somewhere where no one else is around then put your items down.

this was for info not really for anyone to reply to, there is no safe trade system, this gives theives an opportunity, and as you know theivery is a valid profession. and they do have a safe trade system, its called writing checks and using credit cards, well its safer than hand to hand trading.

The problem with comparing Illarion to RL is,

Do you put money on the floor while trading in Illarion, yes.
Do you put money on the floor while trading in RL, no.

Putting money through hands is safer than leaving it on the ground. I think there should be a safer war, but it should not be impossible to steal.

perhaps hand to hand trading yes, where the other person you are trading with can steal the goods but people around you cannot.
