Cain's Search
Cain sat quietly in the lounge on the second floor of the nearly deserted library, vaguely noticing the beams of light shining down on the old tomes and ancient manuscripts he was reading. He was searching for something. Searching for an answer to a question searing his mind and soul. Can Malinne be cured? Is it possible to save her? Will whatever is plaguing her surely kill her without a cure?
"First," Cain thought aloud. "I will have to know if this illness has a name. If it is unknown, my search will become more difficult."
After pouring over the old texts for what seemed like moments, yet hours had truly passed, Cain stood up from his seat and returned the several books to the respectable shelves. He had turned up with nothing to match Malinne's illness, yet his hope still remained unbroken. He knew that there just had to be a way to cure her and he was going to do everything he could to help, even if it meant just being someone to talk to in her time of need. Cain gazes out the window westward, watching the sunset gently loom over the horizon, admiring the vibrant shades of pinks, yellows and reds. Cain sighed.
"What a sight," Cain said, almost whispering. "Tis a shame no one is about to share this moment."
As Cain gazed at the entrancing sunset, he came back to his senses about his search. Quietly, Cain shuffled over to the shelves once again and pulled a few more books out, hoping to find an answer.
"I am doing my best, Malinne," Cain began. "The question is: Am I capable of finding some kind of cure? How much longer is there until I am too late...?"
Cain peeked out the window once again after much reading to catch just a glimpse of the sun's final light before disappearing under the horizon. Evening had come and the night showed him no sympathy in his search; no light. Cain strained his eyes, reading the old texts despite the seemingly opposing night sky. Few connections had been made between other illnesses and what Malinne is plagued with, though still he focused on finding the one that matches everything.
"Is this it?" Cain managed to choke. He had read about something rather close to what Malinne seems to be suffering from. "Could this be the answer?"
Quietly, Cain poured over the same book, once, twice, three times, continuously wondering if it were a match. As Cain began to fall asleep, thoughts started to flood his mind.
"Is this it? Is this the answer? Is my search over? .. .. .. .."

Fortinbris is also browsing through many books, not looking for incantations or new prayers, but rather, information on strange diseases and cures within the medical field. He notices Cain working very hard...
It appears I'm not the only one here...Malinne truly is in danger...
Fortinbris, ashamed that he is spending his time helping people rather than worshipping Moshran, lurks into the back of the library beyond ancient shelves.

Descending from the upper floor of the library, Damien stops looking around. Someone has been searching for something. Several books lie stacked on tables, someone is browsing through the bookshelves, and from somewhere, snoring can be heard. In fact, between stacks of books, with the head lying on an opened one, someone sits there, sleeping. Damien raises an eyebrow.
Silently, he steps behind the sleeping person.
"GOOD EVENING, sir, and welcome to the library of the order... i hope you will sort all these books back to where they belong ?"

Arslan couldn't sleep this night, a stormy wind is getting round his tent. He tried several positions to getting sleep, but he couldn't.
So he decided to leave his tent. Crumbling out, he looked at the sky, seeing clouds running over it by the wind, trying to catch the pale moon light.
Wonderful, thish shight, he thought, painting cloudy picturesh in the moonlight.
Than suddenly, he stopped to enjoy the nighty sky, seeing pictures in the clouds, forming and changing, whirling around. With his sense, he tried to figure out, what was meant.
He saw a man, sitting in a library, sleeping over books, his face full of sorrow. Seemed, that he is searching for something. Than he saw an elf, steppiong behind him, saying something and than, a sudden reaction from the sleepy man, throwing a book onto the floor.
His eyes where directed to the book on the ground and he was knowing, that this book was the right one.
Oh, I have to go straight to the town .... I have to help thish man.
The seer took his small legs in both hands and hurried to the library.

Malinne walks intot the library and shakes her head. She picks up one book lying upon the floor and browses through the pages. With a sigh she puts it back in its place on a shlf barely within her reach.
I have read these books before. So many failed remedies... There were some potions I have run into before that help ease symptoms... But of course as I am not a druid...
Malinne stops talking to herself with a sigh and puts away all the books that she found lying on the floor quietly as she notices Cain asleep at a table in a sitting position. She quietly tiptoes out of the library.

Cain awakens. He looks around the library to find everything is back where it should be. As Cain pulls himself up and out of the library, a tired, saddened look on his face begins to show itself. He begins to walk through town, searching for people who might be able to help. Though it is clear by his meandering footsteps that he is unsure who to talk to. Yet through all the expressions on his face, determination seemed to also make itself known.
"I must search," Cain thinks aloud. "If I do not, then I fail my friend."
Cain quickly gathers some equipment and heads into the forest, some of the images of herbs and plants from the books he read still showing themselves prominently. Cain's movements are systematic and determined. He does not seem to notice the people around him.

The small halfling reached the library in a hurry. But ... it was empty. Noone sitting at a table, sleeping or reading books.
He looks around, tried to figure out, what place he had seen in his vision. Than he walks to the place, where Cain had slept and looked into the shelves behind this place.
After a while of searching, he took the book out, he had seen in his vision and laid it on the table.
Hope, he will find it.
He mumbled and went away out of the town to his tent.

Shortly after the halfling had left a human with a foreign looking face enters the library. He walks up to one of the shelves and takes a book out of one of them. He looks at the book and reads the title.
"Spirits and their ilk", that's the right one.
With the book in his hand he walks to the tables when he notices a lonely book laying on one of them. He looks around but there is nobody in the library except himself.
Hm... Someone must have forgotten to put this one back into the shelf. I better put it back before Damien notices it.
He drops his own book onto a table and grabs the other one. Then he makes a step to the shelf when he suddenly stops again. He looks at the book, and puts it back at the table. Then he sits down and opens the book he took from the shelf.

Darklin Vul walks in the library seeing Adano Eles reading a book
Hello, great day isn't it?
Darklin walks up to the shelf and finds a book about the history of trollsbane and walks to a table and begins reading it.
I hear Cain has had trouble with finding a cure for malinne, perhaps maybe there's an answer in the past of trollsbane..

Gerard walks into the library where to his astonishment had several people inside
Hmmm....Thats awkward.
As Gerard walks closer to the small group he overhears Darklin talking about Malinne's sickness
Darklin! Shhh!
Gerard hurries over to Darklin and wispers in his ear
We must keep Malinne's sickness to a low profile. We musn't worry the town......

Freo wonders "whats wrong with cain??"
Leaning on the wall near the mining Area, Freo looks over only to notice Paul and Cain.
"Cain looks grave indeed," Freo thought to himself " I wonder, what they are discussing."
Freo watched as Paul and Cain continued their conversation, and as Cain began to walk away with a "farewell." Freo stood and walked over to Cain
"hello Cain, is there something wrong?"

Renyu quietly walks into the library. After searching for awhile for a book to read, Renyu finds one. A pain in Renyu's throat stops him from being able to speak. The only words that manage to come out of his mouth are, "Iss..." Attempting to clear his throat, Renyu decides to wait for his throat to heal. He hopes his voice will come back to him soon. With no other choice Renyu decides to write a message. After finding a single sheet of paper at a nearby table, Renyu begins to write...
If there is anything that I can do to help, please let me know right away. I too am not feeling the best these days. Please forgive me for my hissing sounds for I am trying to speak. Trying to clear my throat doesn't seem to be working very well.
With the end of his message, Renyu soon decides to leave the message on the wooden table for anyone who finds it to read. The bottom of the paper reads:
--------------------------------------------------------------

Malinne finds Renyu's message and reads it.
Oh! Someone else who is ill? This is not good at all... but perhaps if his illness is similar to my own, then perhaps we can work together to find a cure althought I am still doubtful there is one to be found.
Malinne writes a response to Renyu's note:
I see you are another lizardman. I hope we can get along pretty well because lizardmen are my favorite race of peoples. I will look for you in town so perhaps we can talk about what is ailing us. If there are some similarities, we can help each other cope with it and try to find remedies to ease our pain. Only those who are ill can really know what if feels like and so we know what works and what doesn't. Advice can be exchanged, etcetera.

With a quick rush of speed, Renyu quickly enters the library. Making an attempt to clear his throat, Renyu slowly turns his head toward the wooden table where the message he wrote was placed. Quietly, Renyu makes his way closer toward the table. Again, trying to clear his throat he manages to speak...
"Pleasse move..." Renyu says to a young halfling blocking his way to have a view of the message Renyu once started.
Finally, after reaching the small wooden table, Renyu quickly notices a signature at the bottom of the paper that reads: ~Malinne
Feeling dizzy from the screaming of the little halfling, Renyu tries his best to write another message on the paper...

After a small pause, Renyu decides to leave the library. The small halfling still stands searching quickly through the bookshelf. "I can't find a good book to read!" The halfling shouts. Not even being able to write neatly, Renyu also decides that he needs rest. With a quick turn of his head, he leaves the library. Searching east and west, Renyu quickly walks south hoping to run into the quiet forest...

Renyu once again enters the library. Feeling a little better, Renyu quickly walks over near the small wooden table once again. Searching around, Renyu finds the small piece of paper. After quickly reading it over, he decides to add a small note to the bottom of the page...
I am feeling much better than usual. Suddenly, Renyu looks straight forward, attempting to speak. "Ssss. Ssee." With that, Renyu quickly clears his throat. Renyu looks back down at the paper and continues to write...
I do feel a little better. I still cannot speak very clearly. You may not see me in town for awhile for I am getting my rest.
With that, Renyu quickly writes down his signature, and walks out of the library. Searching around for a little while, Renyu heads south once again...

Renyu enters the library again. Making his way to the wooden table, Renyu looks down. He has noticed that nothing more has been added to the paper. Not knowing for sure if Malinne got the message clear, Renyu writes:
If you have read this message, please let me know.
Soon later, Renyu leaves the library. Walking near the shop, Renyu purchases a small axe and heads south into the forest...

Looking down at the small peice of paper, Renyu's face shakes in confusion. Soon he writes:
Is it possible that you can explain your current situation? Have things changed along the way? What has happend?
Soon after, Renyu scribbles his signature at the bottom of the paper. After a quick stop at the depot, Renyu grabs a large roll and breaks it into a small little peice. Throwing it into his mouth, Renyu slowly makes his way out of the library, hoping to hear a responce from Malinne as soon as possible...
