Skill not growing today?

My farming is pretty low and so gathering honey makes the level raise pretty fast. Granted it takes a good amount of time.Today, however, I have gathered over 50 honeycombs with no growth at all on the skill meter! Is skills meter not working or perhaps it is just me?
I'll relog and see what happens.
Up to 70 honeycombs now and nothing! This would have brought me close to a level raise just yesterday.

The more skilled you are, the more time it takes to cap.

My skills have not grown so far yet. I know that the process slows as you gain skill. I have been watching the meter before and I can see it move even slowly as I gather the honey. As I said 50 would have gotten me a good amount of growth recently.I cannot believe that I've grown so skilled so fast that close to 80 honeycombs bring no growth at all.

as far as i know...if ya reach a certain skill-level, some actions wont bring ya any growth at all

Yep.

Its like smithing. If you are a average smith, smelting iron bars does not skill you anymore aswell.
