Gerard take's out his wond and with out-stretched arms places it below the strange elfs arm and twirls his wond in a big circle removing the elf's arm from Cain's shoulder
Hurt him and DIE!!!
Gerard continues to hold his wond pointed at the elf
Cain turns around, noticing the strange disturbance in magical force. He sees the elf and Gerard, his wand extended.
"Gerard," he begins. "Stop it. I can handle this stench. There is no reason to get involved. It is a thing of the past of Malinne and myself. Please do not get yourself injured over this."
Cain lets out a chuckle and then faces the elf.
"You are no shipmate of mine, demon. Just a stowaway within Malinne, waiting for a chance to strike at us all. Your power is nothing here." And with that, Cain draws his wand forth, prepared for whatever the elf may throw at him. "Make your move and make it quick, vile one. For it will be your last."
Then he remembers something important. He whispers to Gerard.
"Escort Malinne to the ring of stone. I shall meet you when I vanquish this demon."
What in the name of the gods is going on here? Who are you? Leave Cain alone, please... You will not be able to control me at all anymore! I see you have taken a physical form. That is quite bold of you...
Malinne finally realizes Gerard is present.
Gerard?! What are you doing here? I haven't seen you in so long...
Paul watches from in a tree. He begins to smirk lopsidedly. "And i was the bird that lived in the captain's room," he says sarcastically. He starts to laugh, and falls out of the tree.
Malinne sighs and leaves the scene, and says to herself under her breath:
My head hurts enough already... I don't need any of this. I'm not believing this Adam... whatever his name is. There was more than one voice. Anyway, they're probably weak in their physical forms which is why they never came to me that way and used my scrawny form to do perform their evil tasks.
Cain Freemont hears Malinne coughing and turns around, to see where she had gone. He runs to catch up with Malinne, still turning occasionally to watch the strange elf. After catching up with her, he speaks,
"Malinne, sorry if you want to be left alone, but if you do not mind, I would like to shadow you a bit, until this all passes over. Whether or not this elven man is form taken by the voice once inside you or not, he still seems to be a possible threat. If you wish me to leave, please say so and I will."
Adamantine, with speed so fast as if he were something more than just a mere elf, stretches out his arm and grabs Gerard's wond, and then jumps, spinning in the air, kicks Gerard on his back.
Humpf. You think you can stand against me! Hahaha. Is this the best the island can do?!
Adamantine shouts to Cain as he is leaving
Dont blame me for what has happend to Malinne. For I had no part in her sickness. Although it was a plus in making her tell her story and revieling her past.
Adamantine grins evily
Although, I do know who to blame.
Adamantine looks down at Gerard lieing on his back
Paul groans and gets up. He sits in the shade of the tree he fell out of. He sees the strange elf kick Gerard and starts to laugh. "I am sorry Gerard, Cain, and Malinne, but to me this seems so funny," says Paul.
As Gerard gets kicked by the mean elf he feels a pain that reminds him of a fight he had had in the past. The kick didnt hurt like a normal kick would. It seemed to have extreme power behind it, that adds fear to the hearts of it's victims.
Ooof!
Gerard lands on his back
Then Gerard listens to what the elf says while he holds his stomache where he got kicked. After the elf blamed him as the cause of Malinne's sickness, Gerard feels guilty in an awkward way
What do you mean?! I didnt have anything to do with her sickness! I just found out a couple days ago!
Malinne manages to stop coughing and catches her breath. She looks up and see Paul... laughing. She flashes him an annoyed look then begins to walk away. She turns to Cain briefly.
I need to be alone for a while.
She looks away and calls out to the so called demon in the library.
Leave Gerard alone, he shouldn't be involved at all. I promise you will die before I do.
With that, she leaves the town, avoiding the people she passes.
Cain looks at Malinne before she walks away, an understanding look in his eyes, a look of similar experiences.
"I.. understand, Malinne. I shall leave you alone. Come to me if you feel like talking.." Cain says, his voice trailing a bit. He seems sad, maybe fearful for Malinne, but more of a sad look creeps into his eyes and facial expression.
"Perhaps," Cain thinks. "Perhaps I am not in her situation, but I understand the severity... I'll just give her some space. I hope she'll be alright."
Cain walks in the opposite direction as Malinne, hoping to not disturb her further.
Paul stops laughing and sits under the tree, looking at the mysterious elf. Paul wonders what he will eat for lunch. Paul gets up and walks into the woods.
This is just a guess, but I think its that double-axe I gave you along time ago.
It must have awakend whatever was inside of you. Maybe what you said about your past was wrong, maybe the captain didnt rid you of your evil, maybe he just put it to sleep some how. You must get rid of that axe, It came from the demon cave. A very demon used it as a weapon. It is poisening your body somehow.
Gerard looks at Cain
Is it true? Did you guys slay the demon from within her?
"One cannot simply slay a spirit form. The spirit, however, is susceptable to things such as containment or removal. A spirit never really dies, Gerard. It simply waits for its time to return. Honestly, I do not believe Malinne's illness is related to the evil that plagued her a few years ago. Things were much different back then."
After Cain finishes talking, he sits down, sighing as he remembers past happenings.
Malinne walks back into town again after camping out for a couple of more days.
Oh Gerard, I do not think that my precious weapons could be what is hurting me. I would never give them up... I am ill because I refuse to worship the unforgiving gods. As for anything within me awakening... I doubt that will happen. There are demons within all of us, some are more powerful and purposeful than others, and some cause more or less damage. They can never be fully destroyed and we must never become oblivious of them. They can be contained as Cain has said, and as I am stronger spiritually now, it will take more than what the demons had before to possess the young girl they manipulated last time.
Malinne smirks.
Besides, I don't see why they would want to possess the powerless mortal that I am... dying and what not.
Korg continues to sit on the rock watching and listening to everything that has been going on, not knowing weather anyone remembers him being there or not.
Korg looks a little tired as he has not been sleeping but listening to
So he continues to sit there watching and listening while being unnoticed
Adamantine looks at Gerard with his eyebrows down in an evil way
I have spent too much time in the open. I must leave and continue on in a low profile. We Will meet again, I look forward to it.
The elf grins
Farewell
The elf, having been holding Gerard's wond the whole time, breaks Gerard's wond over his knee and throws the pieces at Gerard's feet, and hurries to the forest, out of sight
look into Malinnes eyes with his tired and upset brown eyes and smiles
It has been a a couple of days last i saw you....i saw you walk of towards the libary.
I wanted to follow you but i could see you wanted to be alone so i sat here waiting
Randelf picks up his shovel and hammer and decides to head to Silberbrand. On his way there, he waves to Malinne.
"I hope your feeling better." Randelf smiles.
