A skill that makes statues.Have a item to get clay from the rivers and mix clay and whatever to make statues of our guy(elf/human/dwarf/lizard/orc).Ofcouarse make them rot but It'd be fun playing around with them. Might even get a checkers game going
I like the idea of this skill. Maybe the statues should rot, but slowly, very slowly. Everything rots, some statues last for a very long time - but not for ever.
And it would make more sence if you could write a text on the statues.
make a quarry skill and a sculpting skill, that would be fun, for new people to the skill could use clay to make pots, bowls, cups ect, and more skilled sculters could make statues out of rock.or you could just mine in a different place and/or tool.
I like this idea too.
I would even extend it:
First you get (buy?) a raw block of stone. then you create a head. Then arms etc. etc., so it would be possible to make unready statues, to fail creating a head or something like that.
Nice idea. *And* its relatively easy to make it possible. *And* it's new.
well, it was suggested internally the first time we implemented statues.
the problem is, that it WILL bring problems, if players can produce unmovalble items.
but then maybe in the future the properties of such items can be changed to reduced mobility.
Good idea...my personal contribution to this would be a proposal for the new skill name...How about "Pottery". I noticed that clay was mentioned as a possibility for creating these statues and such, and I think a pottery skill could have statue items and others such as clay vases, bowls. The new profession "potterer" would be really welcome by the player population I am sure.
a pottery skill is good, also, i think baking should be made into a more general "cooking" skill, that way us bakers are able to make stuff besides bread and cake.
But statues are made by scupters, not pottererers. You sculpt the statue and put it together, but how long would it stay around for and would you be able to take pieces off random statues and put them on others? It could make a great game ...
