I think essence also has something to do with magic, strength is how powerful your attacks are and how much you can carry. I believe agility has to do with the ability to "dodge" attacks and perhaps movement speed... other than that, I am not sure.

If you click on the "advice" button on the character creation screen, it will tell you some info. There is more information in the manual, which Korwin made available (http://members.tripod.co.uk/illakeep/manual.html)

perception, willpower, and intellegence are the main mage stats, and strength determines how strong they are and i think that your strength and intellegence both must be all the way up to ressurect people (not sure though)

if you are going to be a mage, DO NOT BUY ANY DRUID BOOKS WHATSOEVER, or you cant be a mage, just a druid. when you go to buy a book make sure its called a magic book and NOT herb recipe. And if you do accidentally read a druids book then there is absolutely no way to change to mage, you will have to make a enw character for a mage and i dont think we can make new chars at this time.

and i think that reading books in the library can make you a druid (not sure on that, but you learn runes by reading in the library, but you also learn herb recipes)

willpower doesn't have anything to do with mage, because mine is all the way up, and i cant do 1 spell.

how do you know? there are lots of things mods hide from us, it could be how hard a spell hits for all we know.

As far as I am aware .. since the 18***, willpower has not yet been incorporated into the game, and is temporarily useless.

I am quite sure that intelligence determines both the amount of spells you may know AND the damage that is possible. To Ressurect, you only need to have a VERY high Mes Pen spell. Also, I know that intelligence determines your mana load.

Dexterity, I think, determines how well you can break through an opponent's shield and parry skill. I hear rumour that this increases your bow damage as well.

Willpower is yet to be introduced. Though I believe it might influence how hard you get hit by people/monsters...

Essence determines a natural resistance to magic. It might influence your magic damage instead of intelligence, but I doubt it. My magic is quite strong and I have the essence of about 5...

Constitution determines the amount of life force one has.

Perception, I would not know, though I do not believe it has been introduced. I heard a case of someone who could hear people talking as though they were shouting, this might be a higher perception...

Strength, obviously, how hard you hit physically and how much you can carry.

Agility, as pointed out before, determines your ability to dodge attacks and possibly how fast you walk.

Hope that covers it all.
