Come on, I have come back after a long time of being Idle (About 3 months or so) and what do I come back to? 10x skills! It is so hard to gain my skills, and I think it would be excellent to go back to the old way. Either that or 2x. I think that would be A LOT better. It has become so ridicoulous. Become a master smith and then someone comes around and kills you. What happens then is you have to try so hard to get those skills back. And even for the newbies that come to play, they have to try 10 times harder than what I, and many others, had to do. Does anyone else agree with me on this? Please don't flame. Thanks for the time.
(By the way, if you agree, please state that you do, and maybe we could get a petition going)
((Admins & Mods, I am not trying to start any problems or saying that Illarion isn't fun. It is very fun and I am not trying to cause trouble, thanks for understanding.))
Hmm, petition to get skills to be 2x instead of 10x?

What about using the search function for older topics about the skill system.
It was discussed many times before with arguements pro and contra.
Only admitting, that it is to hard is no new suggestion and brings no new point of view.
Have you read all the arguments?
Have you new ones, which wasn't considered before?
*tired of reading always the same lamentation and answering the same to them, as done in several postings before*

*rofl*
You guys love it to start petitions or coaltions against something, or?
Here another beautiful thread with the same topic.
Coalition for the Change of Skill Levels (CCSL)
And when you think your arguments are new, then read this and you will realize that´s only boring for me and other to read all this crap again.
3 month you were away? And now it´s to hard for you to gain the skills?
Oh sorry, didnt know that. The world is to cruel to you!
Of course because of that it should be changed!
*exterminated the petition*

Spare the satire. Its obviously an important issue if its still being brought up. That and the fact that everyone has always just said, deal with it. Or, if you don't like it, leave. And that is the cowardly way out of discussion. Its a phrase someone says when they are scared to be proven wrong. Either lock this board, or actually listen to what we have to say for once.
A complete deletion of all existing characters isnt practical either. Especially for RP purposes. There goes everyone's story, hard-earned reputations, etc etc etc.

The problem is the following:
Argument one: You loose our precious skills when you die
Solution: Don't die. That is possible, really. And if you die, don't complain about loosing your skills. My char was killed about twenty times in the orc attack, and do you hear me complaining?
Argument two: People have it harder that it was before.
Solution: Complete char wipe, equality to everyone. It's only natural for changes that someone will benefit and someone will not. If you want equality, you can't have changes or have a char wipe after every change.
Argument three: It takes ages to become master of something.
Solution: Try to approach a goal you will probably never reach. That is a whole new concept, much more realistic that assuming there will be a day when you cannot learn anything new. Valuable items will eventually become valuable, because they will become rare. There will be a difference between people who have a lot time to play and who have less, but as I stated before "that's life".
