Greetings,
In my opinion, there is a weapon imbalance in the game right now...for example a warrior with a firesword and shield can almost always beat another warrior of the same skill who uses a war axe. What such weapon imbalances creates is a society of "firesword warriors" which is no fun at all. The biggest imbalance I see would be with the sword and shield against the lone axe. One way I can think of to change this imbalance would be to have two handed axes do a lot more damage than a sword and shield, and have the chance of overcoming the "sword 'n' shield" warrior's parry through sheer force and strength of the blow.

A war axe can hit from two steps while a fire sword can only harm the opponent from one step away. The swordsman has no chance of harming the warrior with the war axe unless he is close enough (a huge advantage if distance can be kept!). Once close enough the swordsman is inside the defense of the war axe (is closer than the reach of the axe making it less effective offensively and not nearly as effective defensively as a shield) but in a much better position to do harm to the axe men with the shorter sword. The war axe currently does do more damage than the fire sword (at least in my own experiences) when it connects with the enemy. I see no reason to increase the damage given by the war axe or reduce damage given by a sword.
An alternate proposal would be:
I could see damage being inflicted even if the sword or axe didn’t make contact with flesh and bone, but rather with ones armor and shield. This would be a concussion wound because even getting hit on the shield would hurt and the heavier the weapon and more force put into using it would hurt the one being battered accordingly, even through a shield and armor defense according to the weapon users skill/strength/quickness. The wound would be negligible for tiny weapons such as a dagger and more noticeable for heavier concussion weapons such as a war hammer but still not comparable to any damage done by a direct hit to the person being attacked. This may already be the case, I do not know.

@Niniane The two space hit for a war axe gives it little (if none) advantage over a firesword wielding warrior with a shield in my experience because in the first place the warrior with the war axe would never hit the warrior with the sword and shield...(I am referring to if they are both of the same "max" skill).

						Sorry this is half on topic but anyways...
I lost count as to how many times I have mentioned this but noone has listened.

All the 2 handed weapons are rigged. I swear. It is impossible to use them on a creature lower then a scorpian. 2 handed weapons are used by 2 hands thus allowing the fighter to block and attack at his/her ease, especialy staffs. One.. two..bam! you're dead! Not how it would or even should be.
Can this please be improved upon? please please please?

I see no purpose of even having a long axe it can be used as a one/two handed weapon it is incorrect. Battle axes have little to no defence that is all, but neither do most of the 2 handed items.

this is off topic i guess... but when your parry is high does that mean you can carry two weapons instead of using a shield you could use two fire swords?  Because unless I am incorrect parry is a skill where you use two weapons e.g. two fireswords and you cna use them as both blocking and attacking.  Shouldn't parry be like this?  Instead of powergaming to raise it by letting something hit you, you should have to carry two weapons and fight a monster with them.;

Two handed weapons should be used behind someone blocking the enemy. Similar to archers who should be behind warriors in a battle.
Also if someone tried to hit you with a war axe and you blocked it with your shield, you could lunge forwards catching your opponent defenseless.
Plus the weapon is too long to fight with when your opponent is in the square right next to you, and it would be very difficult to defend yourself never mind attack.
