Nursing a Wound (Open RP)
((A little RP short-story. Join in (please!) for a normal, far-from-epic experience.))
Hontus Ei sits alone on a bench outside of Eliza's shop. The sounds of wheeling and dealing can be heard inside, but out here Hontus presents a miserable picture: a young man with dirty-blonde hair, a poor man's half-leather armor, an old mage's staff, and one massive bruise about his left eye.
He appears to have just cleaned his staff of a little bit of blood, and looks a little annoyed and very shaken at the moment. He occasionally mutters a curse while touching his wound. He leans back against a pole of the shelter, just as a little rain begins to fall...

A man laden with the very finest in horribly tattered rags seats himself upon the bench roughly, his long white beard swaying from side to side as he crosses his legs in his lap
Brushing a palm across his forearm he grins warmly as the debris of flowers and bramble are smoothed away from his aged form.

Achae walks passed Eliza's on her way to hunt herbs and views a familiar long white beard as a smile begins to form on her face. She whispers very quietly to herself "Ahhh, the Muse Man" then chuckles and turns from her destination with sickle still in hand preparing to speak to him yet stops as she catches site of the bruise on the face of the man next to him. With a concerned look she walks in front of the bench and standing on flower debris speaks in a soft, gentle voice...
Sir, are you alright? I am a Druid, would you like me to look at that bruise?

Hontus looks a little unnerved at the state of the man next to him. Through his mind went the thought, "And I thought I wore the worst." He looked over his own poor garb, and back at the haggard man next to him. He wondered what his name was.
Hontus notices the arrival and the question of the lady Archae, and cranes his head up to look at her face. He speaks in a very plain manner.
"I'll be alright, I'm sure, but you may look if you want to."
Hontus holds back a small lock of dirty-blonde hair, allowing the druid a view of the dark wound, and the equally dark eye at the center. He seems to have trouble studying Archae's face until she comes closer.

A tall elf walks towards Eliza's shop, hammer in hand and 2 daggers in his belt.He wears a smart outfit of Light hunting armor and leather pants. As he is walking he notices the man with the black eye and realizes who it is.
That is him.He is the one from my dream.
The elf runs over to his depot and snatches out a stone with a dagger that is pulsating blue light jammed into it.He then waits behind the druid for his turn to speak to the man.Meanwhile he hums a little tune.
Hmm,hmm,hm,hmmhmmhmmhmmhmm,hmm,ha,hmm

Arching a brow slightly he cleans out one of his ears with an old knotted finger before tugging at his blindfold with a sigh
It is, in my experience. Far wiser, and much safer to do what a woman asks of you lad. When at all possible...
Weight shifting to the side as he unstraps a simple haversack, thread bare from travel and use, hap hazardly dropping it to the ground. The contents making a lyrical twang as they land, as if some form of instrument were inside.

Hontus looks up at the small gathering about him, distracted from the words of the druid. He looks to the elf, then the old man next to him.
"That was quite a ruckus, in there. I must ask the same question as him.", he says, pointing to the elf.

Old cracked lips parting in a smile he waves a hand dismissively in a sweeping gesture
No...I don't think you could lad.
As he lifts an old cracked lute from his bag, the weathered finish yeilding with age to the soft pine underneath
For I have no need for the material at my age. Now...perhaps if one among you could offer something inmaterial. To coax a muse to action.

Achae turns seeing the elf standing close behind her backing away slightly then waiting for their talk to finish before reaching a soft hand to the man's bruise and looking at his eye closely nodding in satisfaction.
It looks like it will heal on it's own very well and lucky for you the eye is not affected.
Taking another step back after whispering to him.
If any problems with it see a Druid or Medico at the hospital.
Giving all a warm smile as she turns toward the road waving her farewell to the man and the elf with parting words towards the "Muse Man"...
Good to see you and your lute back Sir, take care!
...chuckling as she walks away already knowing his reaction to her "Sir" as her hazel eyes sparkle.

Hontus nods, adding in another line before his riddle.
"If you don't think it makes enough sense, that may count as a loss for me, then. Alright, here we go: What is said to be observed in 'moments', but cannot really be observed at all?"
He leans back on that table, touching his bruise a little bit, and awaiting the old man's reply.
