Elaralith appears somewhat saddened as she posts a public notice for all followers of Elara and citizens of Trollsbane:

Greetings my dear fellow citizens of Trollsbane and especially my fellow followers of Elara,
I bring you sad news this day...a former friend of mine by name of Niniane whom some of you may know has fallen from wisdom into folly and darkness. Even if you do not know this now wrethed human woman I would ask you to join me in prayer for this poor lost soul. For the forces of darkness have now claimed her and she drowns in lies she herself has conjured from the pits of evil. She is so far gone that she does not even recognize her own falling into evil and perhaps will not thank us properly even though we pray for her soul. Please heed my call and let us pray that Elara in her infinite Knowledge and Wisdom will grant this pitiable woman a clear mind so that she may rise up again into the Light.

If I were the follower of a god, I would pray. It is too bad she has become what she has. I have not spoken with her for quite a while now. She was and is a friend and I wish the best for her whether her intentions be good or evil.

Perhaps there are two Ninianes in Trollsbane for the one I met this very day was both helpfull and kind. There seemed no malice or duplicity in her. No, I cannot believe she is the person you describe, there must be two.

Ellaron shakes his head in disbelief and walks off distractedly putting his pen back behind his ear.

i was in town when they were arguing. Elararith was being called a liar by Niniane (among other things

). Elararith was of course keeping the fire alive by calling Niniane a fool. Pretty much Elararith and Niniane hate each other now. Of course Elararith wouldn't say she hated Niniane...

Niniane listens quietly as a fair elf reads Elaralith's message to her. Shaking her head with a faint grin unveiling itself from under her previously pursed lips she begins to dictate a message of response for her elven companion to transcribe for all to read.

Dear friends, Poor Elaralith has fallen to tactics of lies to hurt my good name. Do not concern yourself with these words of hers. I assure you that I am perfectly fine and it is her that has questions to answer. I shall relate these to you now and leave it to you, my friends to decide for yourselves what should be done.

Many days ago during the search for our great hero of the name Sevious Helios, Elaralith comprised a party to search for this injured man. While apparently gone on this valliant mission of good will, Elaralith was spotted and even confronted by myself in the tavern. What's this you ask? How could she be on a mountain saving Sevious' life and in the tavern at the same time? This question baffled my mind so I asked her nicely what the answer could be. She replied that she used her magic to transport her from the mountain back to the tavern and would later use it to transport her once more back to the search.

At first this seemed like a wonderful trick in her arsenal! Then I realized what this truly could mean. The implications of this are what I ask you to decide for yourselves! If she has the powers to transport her physical and spiritual bodies to another location, which she openly stated she can (how else could she be in two places so far apart in such a short time?) then why did she have to gather a party of people to search for him and not herself transport her body to Sevious and magically transport herself back to our friendly town? The answer to this I have arrived at myself but I would like for you to also have the opportunity to contemplate this, and to allow her to answer these questions on her own time.

Now to the more difficult questions I have. Once she and the party had found Sevious on the mountain, tattered, battered, bleeding and approaching death, why did she not magically send him back to Trolls Bane for fast healing?! Why did she not send all of the company back to the town? She was in one location and knew the location of Trolls Bane. She had been back and forth herself! Why could she not send all our friends home then and there and avoid the horrible battles that were to come? Many many good men died in this battle because of this thoughtlessness. Many lives could have been spared!

There was a battle that needed to be fought you may say. Good versus evil. Why then, would she not transport our best warriors to the front lines of this battle? If she has such great powers as these why is she holding them solely to herself and use them only to achieve her desired purposes? Could it be that Elaralith the once enlightened, blessed elf has fallen into the clutches of a dark heart? I can see how a case can be made against her for her actually murdering all those that died. She had it in her powers to stop this horrible event from ever happening yet she did nothing! She only used these powers of hers to arrive back in the tavern for a friendly conversation while our friends remained on the mountain bleeding and dying in battle! She ran from the battle and left our friends behind!

These are only my opinions but I can see no other explanation for having these powers she possesses and yet only using them for her benefit and not for the benefit of others. Her selective use of these powers has killed many good men, many of the orks in the clan of Bloodskulls, and many others who deserved not to die!

As the gods as my witness I confronted her this very evening in front of the library in the presence of Crosis, Bumbol Woodstock, a certain mischievous elf you have been hearing about lately, Croktin and a few others. I asked her openly to please, for our good and hers to explain herself. To answer why she did not rescue Sevious from the mountain and save all this trouble. Why she let all those innocent people die. I asked many questions and received no answers from her. Not one. She could not answer these questions and for this reason I have come public. I think we all deserve to know why it was that she allowed all of this death and destruction to go on when she herself held the key that would unlock the door to peace for them all, yet left it only for her own personal use.

I believe that if she cannot answer these questions that I have presented to you, then she should be charged with all the innocent lives that died. She should be charged of murder! I do not want to see Elaralith punished for something she did not do however, and this is why I have made every effort to let her explain to me where I could have made an error in my judgments but she has yet to do so. I am open to argument from her but have heard no answers, and fear those that come will not be sufficient to convince me of her innocence, nor you of hers. She ignores my questions, or turns them against me and calls me a liar. She calls me foolish. She calls me many things but she never once could answer these simple questions. I believe it is because she cannot honestly answer them, under the watchful eye of Elara and not be stricken dead with her own guilt.

Elaralith. Please answer these simple questions and let this all be over with. If you cannot I see no reason why you should not be charged with murder and punished. Turning a blind eye to those who need your help when you are in the power to do so is as bad as being the one to strike your own friends down by the blade.

I will not even get into the episode of tonight’s events when I asked you for the help in capturing the elf responsible for multiple counts of arson and you responded by saying that such actions on your part would add no piety to your life and that you were leaving to go read while we battled the arson ourselves. We did not wish to use deadly force but none of us had the powers you once again withheld from the cause of good so that you could advance your own interests. This can go on no longer! A link to the gods must be a direct link, not one that has been severed from the heavens and reattached to itself, creating a circle of corruption, greed, ambivalence and hate.

I suggest no punishments for this act; I will allow others to do so if and when there is a trial for her crimes against life. I will let others judge her on her own words and on mine, she would not share hers with us this night in town and I had no other chose but to bring this to all of you! All of you. Now please, Elaralith. Be swift in your response and I deeply regret all that has happened this day. It saddens me greatly that it has had to come to this. But you brought this upon yourself by not answer in the presence of others, so please answer us all now so that this may be laid to rest in one way or another.

Cain Freemont reads all the messages completely and a stern look crosses his face. After pulling out some parchment and a quill pen, he begins to write:

I have spoken with Niniane. Elaralith, you disgust me. She is not even close to being evil. You are angry at her for some stupid thing and cannot help but use your position of reputation to try ruining hers. You believe that people will trust your word over hers, but you know what? You are wrong. And everyone had better realize this. I have never been untrue to the people, and they know that. People of Trollsbane, hear me now. If you ever once believed me, know this: Elaralith is speaking lies. I know this sounds bizarre and unlikely, but if you have ever had faith in my words, believe them now, for I can be no more honest than right now.

But i think Niniane and Elaralith both need to stay away from each other to stop anymore...say outbreaks of hatred... It saddens me to see these two people fighting so. Although I AM wondering why Elaralith did'nt use such magical powers to save everyone. But maybe she is not that strong. One never knows Hahaha.

I think that maybe Elaralith is a twin, and the twin in the town is just covering it up, because the other Elaralith is still in the mountains. Hey, who knows?

So this is what Croktin was whining about... Poor Croktin. He doesn't make much of a punishment. He's a good dwarf, leave him be.

As for Niniane and Elarilith, this is sounding more like a personal conflict between the two, and so even if I did pray, I would not. I will not make any biased opinions, and I am just glad that Niniane has not actually turned to evil as it seems quite a few people have been doing lately. I was worried that Niniane had become possessed or something, and from the looks of it, that is not the case. You both run some pretty harsh accusations and I do not wish to be the judge.

I think it's beyond forgiving each other right now Paul, we should all just step back and let them solve their problems in their own way. besides we should be directing most of our energy towards the Blackstone Cult.

I agree that they need to solve their own problems, but I won't stand to the side if a barrage of insults ensues. Also, about this Blackstone Cult... I have my doubts that we should worry about it. Take a look at its name.. Do they worship blackstones or something? I dunno... it just seems like there is just chaotic misdemeanors to look for from this "cult" rather than something of pure evil.

Niniane looks through the pages of this post for a response from the accused Elaralith but finds none. Frustrated, she pins a previously prepared not the board and walks away with her typical light step.

Elaralith, please answer the aforementioned questions and enlighten us all of your reasoning. Do not allow pride to overcome your sense of truth, honesty and friendship, where you are unable to do what others request due to a complex of superiority but humble yourself and speak to the masses. Speak to us now and if the answers are believable and free of guilt this will all be over. It has dragged on long enough, too long for my own liking. Now is the time for you to answer the questions posed to you and for this to end for better or worse. Not all of us understand the ways of a mage but I implore you to detail why you acted the way you did, with sound reasoning given to your answers for all to understand. The longer the responses take to come, the more it seems as though they are being prepared fictitiously and this does no good for your defense, which I am sure one such as yourself can offer even though you have declined to do so in the past. Before this was turned into an allegation, it was but a simple question of this magical spell and it's capabilities and limitations, or how it does appear to have been misused when these are unknown. It has progressed to this unfortunate state because you refuse to answer these few questions. Don't let this go on any longer!

i too would like to see these questions answered,we cannot bring back those whom died and past is past, but, we can change the future i beleive, so some answer at all would be better than the withdraw from words you have taken. i would like to pose another question on ninianes. if you are not greedy and i beleive elara rejects wealth, so why do you insist that we boycott eliza in hopes she will buy tailored items for more?

Niniane runs to the message boards and pins a message written hastily by her fair elven friend that reads:

I have great news!

I have spoken with Elaralith in person after much perseverance and have had a great many of my questions answered by her. All answers were believable and as conceivable as any answer dealing with the mysteries of magic can be to one who is not a magician such as myself. I do believe that her powers could not have rescued Sevious much sooner than he was, nor could it have helped as many innocent lives continue as my imagination lead me to believe. The spell is not one that could be completed in an instant and in the heat of battle, or so I think, so once a battle was commenced it was fought to completion and the injured or wounded could not instantaneously be saved with the use of the magical spell! She claims to have attempted to raise an army to bring back with her from Trolls Bane to the war on the far away mountain but none aided her call, and this disappoints me greatly.

The answers she gave to me were satisfactory and I wish they had been given much sooner than they were to prevent all that has happened in these past few hours between the two of us but the past can not be changed but the future can. One day all will return to normal or so I wish. In conclusion, I see no reason to doubt Elaralith’s motives or deeps in these past events for another moment. There are a few questions left unanswered but I realize they are most likely only left because I am not capable of fully grasping the true power or mechanics of magic.

Thank everyone for your support, for myself or for her, or even for your indifference as long as you were aware of the matter at hand, I thank you!

Elaralith, I would also appreciate if you would reconsider your claim of my insanity or possession. I was only overcome with anger due to your ignoring my questions built on curiosity, which is only natural for one such as myself. My imagination was then forced to fill the void, which truth could not and lead my mind astray but still I was not corrected until this night. Harsh words were flung at the both of us from each other, and I for one am sorry for those I spoke in anger.

I am glad to this quarrel ended peacefully, so you can see what only some words could bring for trouble.
Even with if you search for wisdom you could make a mistake, i know Elaralith and i am sure she would never harm somebody without a really good reason.
