No Chit Chat in Newbies forum please

Post by Serpardum »

It is hard for people who are looking for real questions to answer to find them in this forum because of the chit chat that occurs here.

It can be daunting for real new players to post here with the type of posts that occur here.

Thank you

A suggestion: Delete ALL topics in the newbie forum and have a fresh start...

I get carried away also, and I admit it can be annoying.

Is there an Illarion chat room anywhere where people CAN go to chit chat?

If so, could the link be posted on the main page?

If not, let me know and I could start up a Yahoo group on the subject of Illarion where people could go to chat, post Illarion pics or whatever.

Or maybe someone has already started a Yahoo group.

I think there should be a chitchat forum where the posts stay up for a month and are not locked, or make the test forum like that. Its really annoying when you have a really grand topic for once, like GREAT BOOKS, and its deleted after only seven pages. But this is seriously a good idea.

There is an "old" IRC-Channel, where you can find some older players (like me and others) and GM`s. German is main language, but the most can speak English too.

Tea and cake, bleh! Anyways. I think it would be nice to have a forum like that but I don't think any game needs it, you want to chit chit because of something said in the forums, take out one of the many messengers and go chat with them.

Thats not completly correct.
You have to set a "Quakenet" Server.
If you are on the wrong server, the room #illarion would be empty.

Don't worry, I figure it out once I realized it said mIRC and not ICQ.
