Everything about Illarion that fits nowhere else. / Alles über Illarion was inhaltlich in kein anderes Board passt.

Character not appear on the new feature.

Post by LifeWonder »

It'd be nice if we could make it so our characters don't appear on http://illarion.org/community/forums/vi ... p?p=537810 by choice just like the "who's online".

Thanks.

Technically really hard.

And I can't see a real need for hiding the character there as well.

Well considering I've been trying my best to keep my char's real name a secret, it's kind of a little thorn in the bum, but it doesn't REALLY matter I suppose. Not worth the effort if it's particularly hard. :P

How the hell are they going to know your real character's name by browsing that database? They would have to KNOW what letter it begins with for starters, and even then there are way too many characters to browse through.

Well its of cause absolutly easy to find out your characters name from a database that contains all activate characters on the server.

That's what I said. That it is near impossible. Considering "active" has such a broad requirement. (I mean, 8 days....)

corrected :) ...But ig no one should know Juliana's last name and some are even confused on the first still calling her Breanna... They shouldn't take ooc with ig and if so you might want to discuss with them.

If you have a problem with a player using OOC info in any way, if it is an issue with names or not, speak to them OOC if it is a minor thing or you do not mind speaking with them about it. Then, if they do not listen, report them to a GM for use of OOC info.

It's not the fact I don't trust players not to use OOC info, but it's always fun to keep the mystery both IC and OOC, that's pretty much undeniable.
