Bridge needed?
I have found it very frustrating on several occasions to have to come all the way back up to Trolls Bane from the Farmers Union or other parts of that region in order to cross that western river. Is there any way a bridge...a log even could be available so that crossing is possible from the southern region?

That would be great... even a log.Joxia Doral wrote:I have found it very frustrating on several occasions to have to come all the way back up to Trolls Bane from the Farmers Union or other parts of that region in order to cross that western river. Hmm....I hate to say it, but I hate this idea
The western river is a barrier between the "Peaceful" and safe Western Woods (which Nitram like to remain that way) and the skeleton forests.
You know better than I that many 'beginner' warriors go there...get into more than they can handle, and end up leading those skeletons out of the woods. I have to kill a few every time I go there, before I hit the woods and I know that someone dragged them out.
The problem I see is that these skeletons could then be "atrracted" by a farmer across the river, cross that log or bridge, and make the area 'unsafe' when it is almost 'assumed' it will be by many players. I know this because I was shearing sheep there as a Halfling once and a skeleton was on the bank of the other side of the river, trying to get to me. I was glad there wasn't a bridge. It's a real possibility.
The only way this would work is if the Farmer's Guild built a Bridge with a "Gate" on it. But then, it would be "Guild" owned and not "Public. But this doesn't give you the exact solution you wanted, but could work.
Otherwise, this idea endangers the 'safe' western woods, so I have to 'vote'....."Thanks but no thanks on the Bridge to Nowhere" - Sarah Palin quote, Governor of Alaska & VP nominee.
LOL

hmm...now there's a good idea! Diagonal stones work only as long as the "Game Engine" bug allowing you to push your character across remains. Bu6t for now, it would work.Olive wrote:stepping stones

Or....a more 'appropriate solution would be to build a "Chunnel" (Channel Tunnel) from one side to the next under the river! But only Dwarves could build it properly, hehe.
Both ideas would also discriminate against Mules, but hey, they are Cargo carriers (like Carts), so should travel slower anyway. Good ideas though.
