Aye Andrew,

Thank you for that prayer. I shall recite it every day this war continues.

I feel that only the Gods may turn the Hearts of Kallahorn, for words and swords haven't worked so far.

Be safe all of you, and we'll get through this.

Dear citizens,

War is over! Trollsbane has concluded peace through granting Amnesty, and we will follow their lead. I have cancelled our "war" against the former and current members of Kallahorn.

Thanks to all of you for supporting Trollsbane in it's defense. Special thanks go to Grump for weapons, Konrad for Armors, Edmon for Gynk Fires and Andrew for volunteering as a Medico. Hopefully Andrew shall continue to serve as our Medico and assist others in need.

I am cancelling the meeting for tonight for it is not needed. We shall instead plan to meet this week's end at the Citadel to transport supplies and discuss the citadel floorplans. ((will be posted tomorrow, sorry))
((Meeting Sunday 3pm CST at the Citadel))

Our Armory was depleted somewhat during the War, and I am working on refilling it. I will take an inventory in the coming days and update the totals.

I appreciate all the help and support you have all provided and believe our 'steadfast' support of TrollsBane's legal Government has created a closer tie between our peoples.

Andrew,

Once I have completed the inking of the second and third citadel floorplans, send me a dove with any improvements you can suggest. We'll work that way.

Thanks,

I have updated the materials and 'inked' the plans for the second and third floors. The second floor is missing only Silvers and Hammers.

Dear Citizens,

I have updated the materials for second and third floors again, and taken inventory of our Armory and treasury.

We are in good shape! There is armor and weapons for all who need it, and we still have a lot in safekeeping with Trollsbane too. I am negotiating with the Governor about those. Our treasury is growing and projects are progressing.

I estimate the second floor being built soon, perhaps even within a dwarven month. As I said before, the only limit we have is coins. I am doing what I can, but can always use help for this.

Irmorom willing, maybe we can add the third floor very soon after that! Wouldn't that make the Gods happy!

Thank you all for pulling through the 'War' and showing your support. Please contact me if you need anything. Let's keep growing, recruiting, training and building a home for 'New Language' Dwarves!

Dear Citizens,

Thanks to many of you, we are virtually ready to build the second floor to the citadel. I have updated the totals and informed the builder. We only lack some hammers and about 300 Silvers. However, we can begin construction as soon as possible.

I have also updated totals for the Third Floor, and it is promising. Due to recent improvements in Building ((See Forum: Building Rules)), the requirements have changed slightly, and I recalculated building costs accordingly. The third floor is now accurate.

I also wish to encourage everyone to attend the Celebration by Silverbrand in honor of their new King, King Manron. ((Next Sunday 9am CST)) I will await you all by the Main Gate (workshop) to Silverbrand, and help you gain entry. Many of you have never been inside, but Silverbrand is quite a sight to see. Please try to attend.

Peace be to all of you!

Dear Citizens,

Great news!

I have met with the Builder this day, and at the cost of postponing our auction, I got some things completed.

I have Keys to Goldburg once again! See me for your Key, I will try to be around Trollsbane most evenings. ((10pm CST daily)).

We have also begun work on the much anticipated second floor! It looks Grand and should be completed very soon for your use! It is beginning to look like a Citadel!

Continue to collect items for the third floor, but especially coin. That is the hardest to get, and much needed, as many of these projects are rather expensive. Many Thanks!

Dear Citizens,

I would like to welcome Torwald Brassbeard as a new dual-citizen from Silverbrand. He speaks the new language and is very eager to help us. He is a warrior and will assume a position as 'Deputy". Please make him feel welcome!

The second floor is complete now! Many Thanks to the assistants: Boat Granitestone (Kogan Loloklam), Yamo, and Grump Hammerhand for helping construct the second floor! They have earned the reward of Houses.

This floor will allow more dwarves to spend more time in our fine Citadel. I myslef will begin transferring many things I have at TrollsBane to Goldburg, and spending more time there. I should either be there or in the mines if you need me. I will try to keep my visits to other towns brief. I ask that you all try to spend a little more time here too, so we can meet more than just once a week.

Speaking of this week, don't forget about the celebration held by our brothers in Silverbrand. I'll try to meet each of you at their main Gate.

I have updated our Treasury and Armory, and if there is anything anyone needs, just ask.

I also ask that you, the dwarves of Goldburg, continue to grow, recruit and enhance Dwarfdom for both Goldburg and Silverbrand!

Greetings my Dwarven Brethren,

When I first came to the land of Gobiath I had little more than the clothes on my back and a hand axe at my side. I killed pigs in TrollsBane and used their leather to make shoes to get my start in this land. We dwarves are a prosperous race and hard work is our bread and butter. I kept on working, training, and grinding away. We do this because we have a common dream my brothers, not just to prosper our individual selves, but to do our part to prosper the whole dwarven nation. In my time in these lands ive seen governments of humanity come and go like the seasons. Ive seen orcs run rampant through the lands takking what they want and murdering good dwarven folk. Ive even run into the dreaded but seldom seen Drow. Through all the dangers, and catastrophies of these lands dwarven kind has soldierd on and not only servived but thrived. Why is this my brothers? Because Dwarves do not make war on their own race such as the other races do. Dwarves share the clan bond such as no other race in all the known world.
It is with great happyness that I accept my home and true clan hearth of Goldburg as well as that of Silverbrand. I pledge my life, my axe, and my work to the prosperity of the dwarven kingdoms.

Long Live the King!!
Long Live The Chief!!
Long Live The Dwarves!!

Dear Citizens,

A few announcements:

We have concluded a Peace, Trade and Training Treaty with the Knighthood of Kallahorn. Our former enemies in the war with TrollsBane proved their capability to fight despite their judgement. I have decided to embrace their assistance to learn Combat, in exchange for peace and trade. I have posted the treaty on the boards.

Also, during the war, several of our best fighters were simply 'unavailable'. This is bad for future conflicts. We may have Armory enough to arm an Army, but we need capable Dwarves to fill those suits of Armor. After much consideration of a solution, and in preparation for Mas, the bloodiest month of the year, I have decided to organize the citizenry into an Army.

Every Citizen is required to volunteer for a position to maintain citizenship. I will grant current citizens 3 dwarven months to do this. I consider this a small service in exchange for the many benefits I have obtained for you, such as the free armor, weapons and the greatest Stronghold in Gobaith! When you tell me which 'position' you want, I will also need to know your "waking" time ((Timezone)). This will be the first Army ever to be based upon 'Waking Times", but I believe it will prove very effective once filled with eager and capable dwarves!

I have also changed our Weekly "Training"/Meeting Day to after the Auction in TrollsBane. This will provide for a weekly time to get together. We shall begin meeting in the second floor of the Citadel. ((Sundays, 3pm CST))

We also have 4 treasure maps left to pursue. Anyone wishing to be a part of a party to recover these treasures, please let me know. I am old, and my eyesight is weak, so I could really use someone younger to read a map!

I have updated the Treasury, and Goldburg is doing well. The Citadel is coming along nicely and I anticipate the Holy Third floor in a dwarven month. Thanks to all of you for your work, contributions and loyalty. I will do my best to continue to be worthy of so many fine dwarves!

Dear Citizens,

Today was a very productive day! I interviewed two more candidates for special 'patron' jobs.

Oliver Fox is a human poet. He will be wandering around Goldburg, and may ask you for stories or tales. Help him, and we'll get better stories and poems.

Witherwald Hollowthorn Grinwert Wayfable is a Gnomish engineer. He comes to us from a noble house on the mainland where he worked on many things. I have employed him for special tasks, and he reports directly to me. Because of the importance of his work, he is also granted citizenship and you may meet him too.

Lastly, Christopher Rogden and Artimer Fault were given associate citizen status for their work, loyalty and assistance to Goldburg.

Welcome to them all!

I have asked for volunteers to pursue some treasures. I would like to meet at Goldburg in three dwarven days to do this. ((Wednesday 5pm GMT~10am CST)). I have given a map to a mercenary company to find as well, but we always have fun finding these ourselves together.

The auction was attended by four people, and they got some really good bargains and we raised a few coins. Please, let others know that we hold these so we can raise the money we need for Goldburg.

Thank you for all the work you do and stay safe during Mas!

The following treaty with Trollsbane has officially been renewed:
Mutual Peace Treaty
The Town of Troll's Bane and Goldburg enter into a treaty between one another, and have accepted the following points:

-A guarantee of peace between both settlements.

-Acceptance and full recognition of the Troll's Bane Arena aka "Glassworks Theater" as the embassy of Goldburg, and therefore sovereign property of Goldburg. This status is guaranteed as long as Goldburg exists.

-Criminals, which are wanted by both towns, and caught by one, will be transferred to the other town upon completion of punishment in the town they were caught in.

-Troll's Bane shall offer protection to Goldburg citizens while in Troll's Bane territory, and Goldburg shall do likewise.

-Troll's Bane and Goldburg agree to aid the other in times of need. Need can include attack, defense, drought, natural disaster or otherwise. This aid can be in any form deemed necessary, but some aid must be given.

-Due to potential service to Troll's Bane, any Goldburg citizens who requests, shall be granted Dual-Citizenship. Goldburg already recognizes 'Associate' (Dual)citizenship for 'service' to Goldburg by non-dwarves.

-Both Settlement's shall have the rights to free trade in the other settlement and shall be waived of any current or future trade taxes.

Faber Ironhammer, Ambassador of Goldburg
Sir Jorokar Sladrir, Governor of Troll's Bane.
The treaty is not to be broken in any circumstances.

Dear Citizens,

I would like to welcome Orik Ironfoot, Tharnirk Trryo and Yori Stonehurst as new citizens to our clan. Orik is a warrior and smith. Tharnirik is a miner, but eager to learn new professions. Yori is a talented seamstress and cook. Welcome to them all!

I also wish to announce I have granted 'associate Citizen' status to Olive Feldarp - our Manager of the Glassworks Theater and also to Oliver Fox - our poet. Olive is part of the Free Women's Circle, who wish to build a fine restaurant in Goldburg, and we certainly could use that! Oliver has impressed me with 10 fabulous poems. I will scribe them into a book for our new Library soon, but here is a sampkle of one:

The View From Goldburg

The view from Goldburg, is the greatest in the land
from the temple at zzyathis, to the troll infested woods
from the Island of Tol Vanima, to the Kumdah sand
It's a view only the stoutest dwarves will see, but all should.

the tower i have seen it from, is far from assembled,
and i may never see it from its true spire,
but when i saw it unfinished i trembled,
and it awoke a true dwarven fire.

~Oliver Fox, Poet Emeritus

The other nine are equally noteworthy of praise.

I have also updated our Treasury and Armnory. We have gained more materials for the third floor, and it is progressing nicely. I foresee construction in three to four dwarven weeks, Irmorom willing.

I shall be away for a dwarven week to the mainland to see my brother, Herbert Copperpot. Him and his son, Gus are wonderful dwarves and have helped me before with 'Courtly Etiquette'. It will also be an opportunity to meet the rest of the copperpot clan and tell them what fine dwarves and friends we have in Gobaith!

Keep up the great work, and I will see you all soon!

I have started writing down some pages for our books to be placed in our new Library soon. There are currently two books planned - "History of Goldburg" and "Inspirations".

The first I wish to share with you is the story of how Goldburg was given the "Axe of Irmorom". I hope you enjoy it.

Dear citizens & friends of Goldburg,

Due to the 'private' nature of some of our informations, as well as the need to secure a new and better location for our communication within the Guild, I have hired a new scribe who has constructed a new Board for us deep within the Citadel, away from prying eyes.

You will have to apply to the scribe to be given access to this new board, but it is definitely an improvement and better secured.

((Go to 'Usergroups' in upper right-corner, and select the 'Goldburg Guild' in the "Join Group" section. Select "View Information" and then "Join". I think I have to approve all 'applicants'. This is new for me too, so let me know if you have problems.))

I will maintain a 'general' board for public announcements and use, but we will be able to keep many other things 'private' with this new board. It will be cleaned and updated in one dwarven week.

Odin takes one last cautious glance at "Ironsledge" then to the open tome in his hand making sure the painting is representational. With a firm nod he closes the book then places Ironsledge into his depot for now. After a few seconds of grooming his beard he looks for a good place to display his newly created work in honor of the events. Opening the second set of reinforced castle doors of Goldburg he makes his way to the second floor. It is there that he drops the tome excitedly onto the table wide open for everyone to see.

the following note is scratched into a peice of fish and nailed to the board

Misha was in trolls Bane minding her own buisness, talking to Rukka by the well, and Rakust throws a rock at Msha. Misha's snout got all busted up and now she can't sniff at anything without it getting sore. Misha want's him to appoligize to her, he's giving dwarves a bad name.
Misha thought he was a friend, but tossing rocks is not friendly at all.

Dear Cirizens,

I would like to inform you of a new addition to both our lands and Silverbrand.

There is a lush and fertile valley between Silverbrand and Goldburg. Until now, it's only been good for the cherry and apple orchards we both plant.

Today, I met with Lorian Macgintish about a farm. Our first site was not good enough, but after much 'discussion', we decided to till the fields near the crossroads between us in this "Silverbrand-Goldburg" Valley. We also built some Grain silos, and a public depot and Millstone at 'great' expense.

The new depot is intended to be used to store seeds, crops and foods. Many of these things often choke the space in our more 'important' depots. Now we have three different depots. This will help in our 'storage' problems.

We shall have to postpone our third floor due to lack of coin.

Even though we have paid dearly for this, all dwarves are welcome to use these "Brand and Burg" Farms for the good of all and our visitors. They are for use by all to promote Dwarven interaction and Brotherhood.

It is hoped that perhaps sheep, rabbits or even cows may return to this area soon. The valley with it's steep cliffs, gentle river, Mule Stables and lush trees is ideal for all these things.

May you find these "Brandenburg Farms" as useful to you, as I do. They will help bring our Dwarves together, as well as bring visitors and customers to our gates again. Yes, "Brandenburg" Farms shall be public to all.
