A man with white hair bows and thanks a passing woman for writting this note for him as he clumbsily hangs it to the board. Being so obviously blind he has no way of knowing he hung it upside down. If you crane you neck the note reads as follows...
Attention all monks...indeed all humble and good souls!. Or just anyone who can read this really. I Logrin Parr of the Black Isles...a simple monk and professional blind man, invite one and all willing souls to join me in my humble task.
As you may already be aware of, I am building a temple in honor of suffering, for suffering is the forge and hammer that tempers strong wills and great men. The darkness that adds brillaince to the illumination of earthly joys. And yet it is shunned and reviled, no thanks is given to the gods for this, truely one of their most precious gifts.
Through my time here I have scrounged, and toiled and begged...and gods willing have aquired a fair sum of money, however. By the grace of the gods I am but one man...and without the help of others I fear, even by the gods graces I shall not place the last stone till the all shadow's eve.
So as the gods saw fit to bless me with this trial, I pray that they shall also see fit to send others pure of mind and body to help, even if it be but laying a single stone, you will have my blessings and my thanks.

Brother Logrin Parr,
I too am a monk, a hermit, or whatever you would wish to call it. I have been in service to Eldan for many years, and along with my order, the Credii, we attempted to reconstruct to the Eldan Monastery, but alas, our plan failed. How I have suffered since then, wandering the deserts, the mountains and the forests - I've not tasted bread since our mission to this island fell into ruin. But you are right, it is suffering that teaches men the way to walk, the way of holiness. Indeed how luminous is the darkness, if we walk through it in humility. Truly, it is good to build a temple to this fine virtue, but before we construct a temple in bricks and in mortar, we must construct a temple in our hearts.
That being so, I am willing to join you in your trials, that is, if you still feel called to them.
Eldan grant you wisdom, and peace at the end of days,
