- there is no "their jobs". This is our hobby and our spare time. If you don't like the pace or direction of progress, well - either put yourself to work and help or shut up
- you also seem to suffer from bad memory if you call the 2001 state "technically sound". I remember better since I fixed many of the severe problems back then. So if you had put yourself to work and helped...
- your posts show you are utterly clueless in technical matters or blessed with remarkable ignorance. You don't realize the difference between a minor bug fix and a complete rework of a client/server concept even after it has been explained to you.

Shadow blockers
How about leaving the corner squares empty of blocks for the rp purposes, and thats easy for hunters to check. someone could peek around corners from them but bbe easily caught doing so.
PS. I think the staff(volenteers) are doing a great job. As good as the staff in Lotro or Wow and it dont cost us a thing. like NOP said put up or shut up.
As for me volenteering - if i could do more than smash a mouse button i would. Be happy im not if you think there are alot of bugs now.

Like what? The gameplay was easier. The mechanics were easier. The crafting system was easier. The magic system wasent broken. Especially this "We cant fix it, it will take too long" when I've posted a suggestion maybe, three, four, five times that would take all of a days work, and had people agree with me (sans the technical staff) And, of course, that did not take any of my time and was in no way constructive.

In this case, it woulden't be a dirty fix. Because the code would have to be entirely reworked to fix the real problem at hand, thus this would be either a fix, or a solution to a problem that might be fixxed by our fine technical staff volunteers, sometime in the future, way down the road.Hadrian_Abela wrote:Putting boulders in place is called a 'dirty fix'.
