balancing: stones
there are to much raw stones and to much stones for slings.
the old ammount of raw stones was much better than the new one.
please make the ammount of raw stones a bit lower. also the sling ammuniton. 1 or 2 stones for one raw stone is enaugh.

I agree with this one. What would be better is if a new "Rock" or place (Quarry~Steinbruch?) was made which was just for 'Raw stone". After all, when a 'Quarry~Steinbruch?' is made, it is above ground and they are mining "Raw Stone" only. These have been around before mines were invented, even Stone-Henge and the Pyramids came from a Quarry!
Below ground Mines are for Coal and Iron, and raw stone is discarded in the process as useless 'waste'. By mining, it is impossible to preserve 'usable' stone blocks. The pickaxes tear it all up into Gravel already.
There should be a different place(s) (Quarry~Steinbruch?), above ground for collecting Raw Stones. Besides, only making buildings with grey walls need them anyway. There is no need for so much below ground!

1. Why should there be too much stones for slings, its a sling you normally should be able to just pick stones from there, thats the only good thing about a sling, it has a surplus on cheap anmunition.
2. The Stones are used as "fill up" material, means if a stone has a 50% chance of coal 5% of runbys and 5% of amethys you still got to fill up the last 40% with something, thats where the raw stones come in play.
and reducing the sling ammunition for 1 pebble per raw stone is ridicoulus.

you get from 200 raw stones 1000 stones for slings and 200 stones for buildings or additional 1000 stones for a sling. if you use the sling you get a part of this stones you shot back. i can shot until the end of days with the ammunition i got from raw stones.
and yes, the stones are "fill up" material, but it makes no sense if you had to drop all the fill up material. fill up with coal or iron, that makes sense, because its used.

In what mine do you search for coal and ores? Maybe it is not the best mine.
A mine special for raw stones is an interesting thing. But in general, raw stone is only "waste". That's the whole sense of this item. It is waste... To use it for munition and building stuff is periphere. You do not have to pick up them all.

Aye. The quality of silverbrands mine is changed a bit. In matter of coal your numbers are right. In matter on iron it depands on, how you go to mine in Silverbrand. The caves are large. Maybe you should explore again.
Silverbrand has the largest spectrum of kinds of ressources in general. And the shortest way to can store them. There is no need, that it has to be the "best" spots in the same way.

you get 5 stones per raw stone and if you continue working stones its 20 per building stone so you'd get an additional 4000 from 200 raw stone not 1000...Ivar Kraftimarm wrote:you get from 200 raw stones 1000 stones for slings and 200 stones for buildings or additional 1000 stones for a sling.
I like the idea of having a quarry also, but I think Pellandria is right about filler material(although I'm sure most miners wouldn't care if they got nothing instead of raw stone). Also if you don't want the stone can't you just drop it in the mine and let it rot? each 1 you drop means 25 less sling ammunition to worry about
North mine
I'm not sure where the mining rocks are in the north mine can anyone help

this is exactly what YOU would be doing if you just dumped the raw stone you found on the ground JUST LIKE in real life. it is still collected and discarded after.... so i say either take raw stone (usable) or we could be filling your inventory up with "gravel" (unusable) your choice...

At the time I wrote that, most miners dropped that stuff becaue it was 'useless' unless you collect for a 'Castle' building project.Tanistian_Kanea wrote:Juniper Onyx wrote: Below ground Mines are for Coal and Iron, and raw stone is discarded in the process as useless 'waste'.

However, since people began using cows to mine and the building rules changed to allow stone 'blocks' (from raw stone), now few people drop it anymore, so that reasoning has changed.
Lennier has added stones to floors in the back of mines to prevent cows, but left a few rocks outside (too many in Varshikar IMHO) for someone to mine from using a cow. Silverbrand used to be the best mine, but has now gave way to Varshikar, North mine and desert mines because of cows. Now, Silverbrand ranks 4th of 6 as 'best' mines IMHO.
So....now with cows, people can collect all the raw stone and think nothing of it. They don't have to choose to 'carry' it or the 'ores' anymore. The cow carries it all. No-one I've seen drops it anymore, unless you are still mining in Silverbrand, Trollsbane or Vanima (4th, 5th, 6th rank mines), and I have seen fewer and fewer people at those places.
Cows rule!
