"Search" character profiles

It would be cool if we can go on :

http://illarion.org/statistics/us_players.php

and there would be a search box where we can write the name of a character, and the search box skims through the database (or something) and finds the character and shows us its profile if it has one.

Firstly, some profiles are hidden because the PO may want the background info hidden on their character for some reason. Second, if they want to show it, they can as Juliana said.

That's not what I meant.

For instance, today, I wanted to see the image of a character that wasn't online.. So it's kind of hard to do so, since I don't remember the link to her profile.. would have been handy to be able to "search" for it..

Characters who have set it hidden can simply not appear in the search function.. no?

The wiki link will show all chars there whether online or not if the player has put their character there. Another option is also the homepage button, some players link it to their online page. If none of these are done, then you wouldn't be able to see it. A lot is up to the player.
