[Open RP]Delusional Child

Post by Cuvini »

"Wake up, wake up Aaron. If you don't wake up, your food'll spoil."

Aaron opened his eyes slowly, slowly after lifting a hand to brush the sleep from them. He yawned, and looked up. He took in the all too familiar figure of his mother. Tall, and skinny. Long, curly red hair falling to her shoulders, and the most beautiful green eyes one would ever have to pleasure of seeing. She was wearing a hand-knit dress, bright green. And her usual tattered leather gloves and shoes she wore that day as well.

As Aaron slowly came to his senses, he leaned forward and gave a lengthy stretch. He rose from his bed and walked over to the table, seeing some vegetables his mother had picked that morning all sat in a single bowl. Aaron grinned, it was the same thing he'd had many days in a row. It didn't matter to him though, he lived a happy life. Just he and his mother, a small home and their land.

When Aaron had finished eating, they both put on their work clothes and went outside. Aaron took a shovel, his only REAL tool, and began tilling the land to get it ready for planting. His mother had gone over to the bags where she stored her seeds and began going through them all, sorting them.

After a few hours of working, Aaron called out,
"Momma! I'm thirsty.. I think I will goto the well and draw us up some water!"
Aaron dropped the shovel and ran into his house, emerging shortly after with two buckets. As he neared the well, he began to grin. He'd always liked to draw the water from the well. It seemed, fun, to him. He tied a rope to one of the buckets and dropped it down into the well. He waited a moment, then drew it back up. Swishing around the water that had bene trapped within the bucket.

As he was untying the rope from the bucket, he heard something. Faint at first, then he recognized it as his mother, she was screaming.
"--Off me! Now! Why are-- THIS! STOP!"
"--OY! WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO Y--!"

He dropped the bucket and ran to her voice, and there he saw it. A large, midnight black wolf attacking his mother. He stood there, frozen with fear as he looked at the wolf. It looked up, and they met eyes. Green, brilliant green eyes stared back at him. Then,

Darkness.
~

Aaron woke up to find himself sweating profusely. His midnight black hair dripping with coldness. He opened his bright green eyes and scanned over his location. He had fallen asleep beneath an apple tree outside of a town he knew all too well as Troll'sbane. He'd gone there when he was younger, after the death of his mother, and only living relative.

He still had nightmares from that day. They haunted him in his dreams, and sometimes even in his daily life. He would see the image of his mother in his mind, and then the wolf, and he would simply collapse. Sometimes he would cry, sometimes he would yell, and sometimes, he would freeze, his body looking oddly contorted and glued in that position.

Still, he lead a somewhat normal life. He'd stolen some clothing from a wandering merchant when he was younger, and to that day, still fit him. So he was clothed. And he also found himself with a large book filled with all sorts of ramblings and such. And more often than not he could be seen holding that same book.

Aaron himself was fairly tall, as he'd always been. He had midnight black hair, and brilliant green eyes. His face had an array of scars, though how he'd come to obtain them not even he knows. He was fairly muscular and his body was toned, yet he always seemed small for his height.
~

Aaron was never the same after his mother's death. He always seemed delusional afterwards, and his perception of reality as well as other things became severely flawed. Many people suggested that he may've been possessed by an evil spirit, or the subject of demonic possession.

Whatever it may've been. Aaron now spends most of his time around Troll'sbane.

Aaron, book held beneath his arm, strolled through the northern gates of Troll'sbane. His green eyes scanning about, as if searching for something. Someting, obviously, he could not find.

For, in what seemed to be anger, he tossed the book quite violently infront of him, and stamping his feet, walked over to it and sat upon it.
"I can't! Why? No.. Nobody. Helping stupids! Me? No! YOU!"

He sat on the book, talking to himself, or thinking aloud.
Arms crossed, with a look of anger etched upon his face.

Rarely in Trolls Bane, Juliana looks up from the depot hearing the shout of the boy, or maybe man not being able to see well from under the roof. Tilting her head with a sparkle to her green eyes that probably is not apparent under her hood even if she was seen, she speaks in a quiet voice...someone would have to listen carefully to even hear.

If you are that angry, do something about it.

Then the snick of swords placed in leather sheaths can be heard with the rustle of her cloak....only interrupted by a flash of a few strands of pale blonde hair, the dark figure moves off to the shadows.

Aaron looks up from the ground for a moment, tilting his head at the woman before she turns to run off. For a moment he remains still, his body seemingly frozen in an odd manner before he finally blinks and begins yelling.

"Hey! You! What if can't I do!? Something happened wrong to me!"

He stands then, picking up the book from the street and proceeds to follow the figure, continuously yelling the same thing over and over again, as if he thinks the figure doesn't hear him very well.

Almost reaching toward the dagger in her boot, Juliana takes another look back and seeing now a boy sighs as a slight frown plays over her face. Making no effort to push the hood back on her cloak, still appearing quite menacing, the glint of steel briefly in the sun is seen as she places one gloved finger over her lips then with a whisper.......

Stop shouting.

... crossing her arms while leaning against the north gate door she tilts her head.

Why are you following me?

He moves further into the light, where his figure can be fully seen. His midnight black hair, a tangled mess lies over his face, and one would be lead to believe he was blinded from it. Not much of his face can be seen, but a black goatee, showing that he is not a child, but perhaps much older. As he looks up, his green eyes seem to sparkle.

"You spoked to me. Friendly. Nice maybe be you. Can help find, with me maybe you can?"

He tilts his head, and for a moment, his eyes seem to dull for a moment. As if there's something else going on within his head. Just after though, the sparkle shows itself once more.

Juliana, upon seeing him fully in the light appears slightly puzzled, then blinks as he speaks while her eyebrows raise then with a chuckle....

I thought I have seen everything here on the island, but "friendly"?

She then shakes her head slightly but never turns from his eyes probably seeing the temporary look in his but not commenting on it as she leans slightly closer.

I'm not a Knight, nor even a guard....

Chuckling again she points behind him now...

There are plenty of people willing to help ...

Here she pauses and appears thoughtful, her green eyes not looking at him but more in the distance, then with a blink she pushes the hood of her cloak back and takes off her helmet holding it in one hand as she turns back to him with an almost inaudible sigh before with a decisive voice as if a decision has been made...

No, you can't go with me, where I go is too dangerous....

Juliana grins now but the look doesn't reach her eyes so it is unclear her thoughts but her voice becomes even lower ...

I go alone now, and won't train another. But, if you have someone, or something you want found...

Shrugging and the light noise of armor moving may be heard as she reaches in her bag and sets some food for him on the nearby chest...

I may try to find it for you but only if you stay here.

Pointing behind him she waves her hand briefly indicating the city then turning once to face the gate out of the city as if anxious to leave she brushes some of her hair from her face in an unconscious gesture, anyone looking close may see a faded sign of the occult on her forehead and a long scar going from forehead to the top of her ear before her hair again falls back in place. Juliana turns back to him now.....

Tell me what you seek.
