As per the manual

Magic can only be achieved by good roleplay and fitting attributes, this mana bar is half full.

With out posting specific stats as that may be frowned on, I created with a relatively equal stat mix. With the eventual view of the character learning basic magics in months to come.
How ever my mana bar is totally empty I drank a mana potion and it shot up over half and quickly dropped.
So I am just curious how that works what effects a characters mana and why mine is seemingly zero?

you need to learn runes* first to can cast, solanog you have no runes you will have also no mana bar

*you can lear runes by a magic teacher at the magic acdemy or the universety of varshikar

Thats is very helpful. But, How do you get in the academy or the university? Whenever i try it is always locked!

Well the two academys don't liek tresspassers, best is to contact one of the teacher on the board or ig.

Yes, they have even their own guild board topic, just look over them and you find out who is a teacher.
