I took the extremely long walk from trollsbane to the northern mine(following the road and looking at the signs pointing to it which are still there) and when I got there I found a small cave where the ladder into the mine once was and inside the cave were a few rocks and none of them "looked like a place to mine"
I'm not sure, but I've been told the mines in other towns are reserved for citizens of those towns or people who pay for a mining license...does this mean its not possible to smith legally in trolls bane now? or is the mine disappearing just a glitch that will be fixed? or has the mine been relocated and the signs just haven't been changed?
I checked the map update thread there was an update to the mines but it doesn't mention closing any...
well if that was the mine(still not sure) the stones there were unbroken and looked alot like the stones I usually mine in the northern mine but I got the message "this doesn't look like a place to mine" not the message "there is nothing to hit with your pickaxe here"(I think thats the message you get when trying to mine a spot thats already been mined but I haven't mined in a few days so I'm not sure)
Maybe you need to go deeper into the mine, we have several mines, where the first few stones, which appear "mineable" at first inf fact hold no minerals, but going deeper you can mine something.
I heard one can mine free in the Silverbrand mine now, but I'm not sure, the varshikar mine however has to be paid for oh and the mine east of trollsbane should still be free for everyone.
The room is quite small and all the stones are unminable. I mined in the northern mine less than a week ago and that cave is exactly where the ladder was. Once inside the cave there is nowhere to go except into that small room no ladders down, no stairs, no doors, no holes in the wall, and no stones that can be mined for coal. Thanks for the info about the silverbrand mine I'll try to find it.
