forum editing

Post by CJK »

i have recently had a VERY LARGE problem while editing a post due to my accidental posting what i placed elsewhere instead and had my thread screwed over by it so i propose that there is a way to view your topic before latest edit so none else has this problem.

There is! You can just click the "Preview" button on the bottom instead of "Submit". :D

I don't know any board software that contains a version controll system. To include something like this into that board software is a work for many weeks.

Usually, it works fine if you just copy everything from a longer post into a text file, locally saved on your computer before sending or editing.

Here's an idea:

Don't use the edit button and then paste a new post...

Or, if you post it then realise "Oh, I just did something completely moronic" there is the "back" button on your browser. Press it thrice and you'll see your old post.
