I made a mistake, we are having our meeting an hour later, I am not sure if I can make it, but I will tell the rest of the guild about it.Crosis wrote:We could not make it at this time, for we are having a guild meeting at the same time.
Thanks for inviting us.

Greetings,
I just have some comments about your guild name.
I guess some of your guild members thought this current guild name sounds "cool" or nice or whatever, but I think you should consider about the fact that the name...how shall we say... doesn't really make sense or fit your guild?
When things are called "United XXXX" it usually has something to with the XXXX being united such as states in the United States and "kingdoms" in the United Kingdom. For your United Coat of Arms...it doesn't seem that you're uniting any coat of arms.... in fact it doesn't seem coat of arms have any significance at all to this guild. Coat of Arms is also only like a symbol...it doesn't really make much more sense than naming a guild "United Flags" or the "United Anthyms". It doesn't really seem to be describing a "place" a "certain type of people" or an "organization".
Also back in the middle ages, in which I think we are further back than the times of people wearing suits and using muskets or rifles, a "Coat of Arms" was used by the nobles only....so the way you use the theme of coat of arms so commonly in an open guild... it sounds a lot like you're some kind of European Colonists from a time period a little further ahead than we actually are.

I think the decision should be done by the three founders. I dont think the name of our guild should be changed just becasue it doesnt suit. It isn't particularly urgent and should be thought over during the course of a few weeks. First we can gather names of the guilds so we arent 'lets choose this name' then 'oh that one is more appropriate!'
My suggestion is: Knights of Liberty.
We are knights who fight for the liberty of the free peoples of Troll's Bane, and protect the borders of Illarion from evil creatures.

No offense.. but I don't think you people seem like a knightly kind of thing.... so how about maybe Defenders of Liberty. I think "Defenders" would work well for you people as it sounds neutral enough and doesn't declare some kind of inappropriate status for yourselves.
But you know, I think most of the suggestions you people came up with in the beginning were all kind of.... corny
Maybe try to think of some names that don't neccesarily have to follow the pattern of "XXXX of XXXX"

It's only a comment from me. I never said you can't pick your own name. Did I not sound nice enough with the smiley?

(Still away from the isle, but it doesnt matter, this is ooc anyway)
Our guild is The United Coat Of Arms, we can run our own guild our own way. I have seen too much outside influence change our guild, so now I am standing by our guild and saying that the guild name will not be changed unless we (the founders) decide otherwise.
PS. I found the smiley rather patronising actually
They are too comical, perhaps.
