Can't find the silly Dying Rod...
Well, the title says it all. I've looked in almost EVERY town... and I can't find a dying rod. If someone could please tell me where I find this silly little contraption so I can move on with my tailoring life.. that would be happy

I had this problem too, but I found a 'stirring rod' which looked exactly like the images of the 'dying rod' in the wiki, and which works.
I put a note in the wiki, once, but didn't search for all instances of the term, since for all I know there are dying rods around as well. I'll go back and do an update later on today.

I think, I can explain that. The first article about tools in the wiki was made by someone, who used the documentary, which isn't consistent in every part, which means, that there are more than one word for the "Dyeing Rod" in it. He didn't know which one was used in the game (which could have change since then, too).Elsi wrote:I had this problem too, but I found a 'stirring rod' which looked exactly like the images of the 'dying rod' in the wiki, and which works.

I reworked the item section lately and just took the entries I found. The thing is, that I haven't seen this particular item ingame myself, since I'm very new. There were too few people working on the wiki to correct mistakes like that. Please correct it in the wiki directly and add everything you know. It could say "Some people refer to this tool as a 'Dyeing Rod'" or something like that in the description section. Thank you!
Cooking spoons are for cooking as the name suggests and will not work for dyeing cloth.Lrmy wrote:Just use a cooking spoon, they changed it with the update *dying wand* no longer exists. Never was a dying rod...
The item in question is named "stirring rod" and can be made by carpenters. For the explanation, why there were the name "dyeing rod" in the wiki, look above.
