new to farming?

Post by Gro'bul »

if your a noob and wish to be a farmer, but dont have the funds to get grain, cabbage, scythe or flail. just come see me in the game (i usually am on Avrillon the elf) there arent many farmers and i like helping people get into a honest profession and showing them around the game. i have plenty of money and i know from experience its a little tough to do anything but smith to make your starting gold. So just stop by and ask away if you see me in the game.

P.S. i dont give out fortunes, i beleive in honest work for money.

Actualy i dont like the Word "Noob", it sounds more of a insult than the therm "New Player".
In every other game i have played, the ones being called "Noob" feel insulted.

Just a thought,

Actually, I have found that only someone who is truely new to computers is offended by it.

A lot of games people will play and say something like, "Hey, I'm a noob here, what do I do?" "Arg, I can't figure this out. I"m a newbie. What do I do?" "Help! I"m a newb!"

Everyone is a "noob" "newb" "newbie" to every game at one point. It is just something you have to accept. When someone refers to someone as a noob, it no longer has the conintations that it orginaly had in the early days of the internet. In the early days a noob was someone who didn't know anything about computers. Now everyone does, and a noob is just someone who is new to the game/program/etc...

@ Serpardum.

This is perhaps why labeling someone as n00b has gotten so bad name.
Because of all those 'Gimme stuff Im a noob'. I'd rather be newbie than noob, newbie in my opinion is the 'correct' form, and noob closer to insult.

I kind of think of noob as the more insulting form of newb sort of like another word i can think of. If you have ever read LoTR, it says they got a "faggot of wood." How did that become such a insulting term?

Anyway, what does that have to do with this?

Anway, I shall also help you Gro'bul by supplying fishing rods for newbies.
