This is my impression of the
gameplay progress of Illarion, not adressing the community factor or the roleplay atmosphere. Important milestones:
2002: I joined

2003: Summer of Disaster
2004: Charwipe, switch to Lua
2005: Java Client (WOW was released!)
2006, 2007: Sophisticated fighting and crafting system

Without the "dents" in progress and the comparison to sophisticated commercial games, Illarion would fit my exspectations. Maybe a special light will guide us to a better future...
