Starting Woes
Okay, so I started out yesterday, figured out the basic basics. Was getting sort of bored quickly till the mummies at night happened, which was a very interesting event, for RP and otherwise. The only problem is when it ended, I had nothing to do, so....
Heres my question, Where does one start? I hate to ask something so vague, but I've read all the guides, or a good amount at least, and I still just don't know what to do.

Here's what ya do. Just jump in! I know that it's sometimes difficult to find others IG, especially when it comes to times like this and later. But the best thing to do is figure out your character as you go along. Don't hesitate to just walk up to a group and say a nice "Hello". Most other players will greet you kindly and drag you right into the middle of it all. XD Have patience, it's always a bit slow starting out. But it gets better, honestly!
And if my answer was TOTALLY not what you were wanting, yep, may wanna specify a bit. Do you ask where one starts RP-wise? Craft-wise? So on and so forth?

Well, when there is absolutely -no one- around, and I may get in big trouble for telling you this (( =P )), most people find a craft for their character to practice. Carpentry, smithing, tailoring, farming, cooking, all of that. Or, if the character is a fighter, they go train with various monsters. If that isn't quite up your alley, you could try finding the various quests around. ^_^ Those can be quite fun if you're bored. All you have to do is find that right NPC and the words as well. It's a challenge, definitely.

Hehehe, just so full of questions, well I figured out the cooking problem, had to put the pork in my belt, not pack, then cook it.
My latest problem is crafting, I have everything to make leather armor, but when I use the needle by a table thingy, it does open up something, however theres only a red shirt that I'm able to make, I managed to get some pants to pop up, but how do I get to the leather category?

Ah, that's something we sometimes forget about. Since leather-working is considered a tailoring craft, your character has to have a certain skill in tailoring before they can work with leather. Sooo, you'll have to work with the pants and shirts for a while before you're up to the leather. Tailoring can be a bit of a hassle. >_<!
Took me a while to figure out how to revive, but anywho, I came back, and wandered around for a bit. When I came back to the revival point, I noticed there were a lot of mummies around the cross last in game night, so I was gonna check it out. Anywho, so nows theres some weird pillar thingy in the center of it, the only option is to attack it, which it wont let you do anyways. So what is it?

aye, you can get a lot of skill through doing that, and plus you'll be needing the cloth anyway for the future, so its a win win.Estralis Seborian wrote:Just a hint about tailoring, weave some cloth first, it is way easier than making red shirts (I have not the slightest clue how to get the required materials). And you get better with that, too. But a tailor will tell you ingame.

there are also shrines that resurect fallen chars, I know of one in the grey rose, also there was once a cross near the goblin house in the northern forest, don't know if we still got it, another cross is in the norteast of the southeren woods and one northeast of the graveyard/southwest of the trolls woods.
