A note pinned to the Prison door

As you are walking along, you see a note pinned to the prison door. You start to read it. It is written in quite neat but clearly hasty writing.

To the people of Trolls Bane,
I am travelling to another settlement. I will return when I can, but it seems unlikely. To my friends, it has been a pleasure knowing you, and I do wish that things hadn't turned out this way, but I do what I must.
Rukka, Grugnak, Walter Wood, Berina, Taila, Milamber, Kaila, Eli and all of my other friends, I must now say farewell. I am honoured to have known you.
To Shevinova, I am sorry that we have known eachother for so little time.
I hope that you find someone that can help you.
If anyone needs me, send me a dove.
And finally, to the Town Gaurds,

Lock the door more carefully next time.

You see a small piece of cloth pinned to the bottom. It is pale blue with a green leaf sewed onto it. The grean leaf has a blue drop of water sewed on also.

Kaila stops walking after seeing a parchment on the prison door and goes closer to read. As her head tilts in puzzlement she whispers to herself...
I wonder what happened?

You see another note scribbled underneath the last one. It is written in neat, tidy writing.

To the people of Trolls Bane,

I have returned here, as I am now free to go where I wish. Do not think that I am a criminal of some sort, for I am not. And for my friends, I will be glad to see you all again.
To a certain Town Gaurd - We will see where your foolishness leads.

You see the same sign of a green leaf with a water drop on it pinned to the bottom.
