More fish, PLEASE!

Post by paul laffing »

My character's proffesion is a fisherman. Now, it gets pretty boring only getting 2 kinds of fish. Can't you make more fish? I see no reasons not to. It would not make the game too much bigger. It would make it a little more bearable to fish. Also, there could be rarer fish that get you more money when you sell them. All just musing, but i BEG you to make new fish.

Yes we need more fishes, I'll make it simple..
2 types of water
-sea and fresh
-sea has its types of fishes and the river does also
-put sea water in bucket and let it dry or put it over fire to get salt
-use salt with other stuff, I dont knwo with what but maybe you can get an idea for it. :D

This is an idea that would enhance the illarion roleplaying experience, but I think there are more important things that need implementing before this. This would be something I would prioritize as one of the last things - a finishing touch kind of thing.

salt could be used for making food last longer, and there could be something where food dissapears after a while in your depot.

I agree food should dissapear after about a week or two in your depot, that stuff doesn't last forever. Salt could also be used as an ingredient for soup. You could fill a cauldren with water, add salt, them add some chopped up cabbages and hey presto, soup! Also cabbages could be added for carrot soup, they would work the same way as cabbage but just be a different graphic.

Edit: correcting mistakes.

I would suggest you post this type of request (fish, not the salt) in the graphics forum.

For anything new to be implemented first the graphic would need to be made.

Things that have the graphic already made are 80% more chance of being introduced than something that has to be done from scratch.

Well, i mean, i think there should also be a sort of rarity for different kinds of fish. Like, there could be sand sharks that you can catch, but they are rare to catch. Or there could be crappies, a common fish. Or what about bass? Have you ever tried to catch one of those? Very difficult.
