Monsters

@Sir Giandor Not everyone is meant to be a warrior. It does not matter for RP that monsters can easily kill you.
@Separdum You dont necessarly have to make the attacks of monsters stronger...what I was suggesting was a "random factor" so that noone is "super invincible" and never gets hit and all. Hm some monsters are too resistant to magic right now I think. Magic should be a strong weapon and right now (maybe it is a bug) sometimes even flies take many strong spells to kill...I do not think just raising the defense of monsters will accomplish much. Monsters need to be made so that they are as described in the website...takes a group to kill etc. etc.
@Niniane Some warriors wear heavy armor and monsters cannot hit through...TRUE, but the warrior might get bruised slightly nonetheless.
@Gannon I like your idea...groups should decrease parry.
By the way all, we are talking about MONSTERS right now...no person should be able to too easily defeat any monster especially the harder ones...wild animals are another matter.

Once again. I dont want to be a warrior.
My worry about that is , if you raise the strength of the monsters, the warrior player will raise their skills until they can kill the monsters again.
So you have to raise the monsters ... and so on.
The players who are doing RP dont have interests in raising so much (like me). But if this procedure will naturalize every Fly can kill the normal people in Illarion.
And no post like not everybody can be a warrior again.Please. Thats not the point.

@Sir Giandor Read my proposal again please. I did not suggest that monsters be made stronger...not in the way you imply. What I suggested was a random factor (basically a change to the fighting/combat system) where even if you were of the highest skill a fighter could obtain you would still get hit at times because of the "random factor". It makes sense to...there is a risk in fighting and it should be defined in illarion.
I think loki said something like this

I think it would be good to do that so battles could go on a bit longer you stand a bit more of a chance I also think that the difficulty of monsters should be raised a bit so thry might be able to hit you like your parry could be really high but an ogre could surprise youThe monsters should be able to hit more than just a one-hit-one-kill

I agree with more monsters being harder to fight, preferably exponentialy. The monsters attack could be the base, and the number of monsters could be the exponent. Also, if it is possible I believe the direction the monster is attacking from should have more of an effect. Parrying something that is standing behind you is more difficult. Another dimension that could be added would be charging with a piercing weapon, using your momentum to impale the target. One last thing, spiders are a little too powerful in my oppinion. If most warriors fight them with a sword and a shield they are essentialy torn to pieces, similar to what would happen if a man was to fall into a wood chipper...

@Korwin Position having an effect on the fighting...very interesting! I would like to further suggest that the height and weight also have an effect on a player's fighting. Suggestions on how?
@Sir Giandor Spells for monsters I think is already something the illarion staffa re working on. As of late, I notice the intelligence of monsters has been increased as they now seem to know how to attack in groups. I think the difficulty of the monsters is the main issue now and should be addressed.
