A rather plain woman pins notes in each town after passing by the jail and catching a small bundle that was tossed down from the balcony
Raven,
It's not me they're after.

The elfess sighs resignedly as she watches over the bridge from the balcony at the receding crowd. Sinking to the cold stone floor and turning to rest her back against the wall, she leans her cheek against her knees. Struggling with a growing sense of panic at being confined, she closes her eyes to shut out the fear.
She stays in this still posture a long time before footsteps can once again be heard. As the hope rises, so does the elfess, getting stiffly to her feet and peeking over the ramparts. A disappointed sigh escapes her as she sees an unassuming halfling walk by. Calling out, she gets the attention of the halfling and begs her to pin another note where it can be seen by all.
She goes back inside with a slow, reluctant step watching the halfling depart. The note which the halfling pins faithfully near the first reads:
Deuce is using me as bait.

An elfess with head bowed scans the boards seeing only an empty spot in place of the notice she is seeking. She runs her fingertips over that empty spot and lingers for a long moment until voices can be heard approaching. She pulls up her hood and turns quickly, wiping her cheeks as she makes her way out of town.
