ooc means "out of character" and is allowed on most illarion-boards.
this board is the main board, and if you read carefully you'll notice, that this board is for "Everything about Illarion that fits nowhere else ".
the other boards we have are: the gfx-board (for talking about graphics), the proposalboard (for proposals), the technic board (for technical problems/solutions), the rpg-board (for rpg-topics, ooc is NOT allowed there!), the guild board (for guild concernings, i'm not sure about ooc on that board), newbie board (where you can sell newbies as slaves).
however, to give an example: the "bror is captain picard"-thread wouldn't fit to any of these boards except for the main board, which is per definition the board to choose for topics which do not fit anywhere else, therefore i do not know why it was closed.
maybe a *REAL* off-topic-board would help, but i think we have more boards than players online (in average) and thats somehow strange.

martin, with a defect graphics adapter :(

Maybe he closed it so Bror wouldn't have to read pointless material?

hehehe..

i want to have newbie slave..
i would grin as usual but i think that its not allowed on this board

and martin : "as average?" you must relize that we come from difrent timezones , and that most of us study/work ect , and that there is usually (past 17 german time) more than 10 persons online.
that may not be much , but i see that some people (as i) are more active on boards than i the game..
and i think more than 50 people average online would make his map maybe a bit too crowdy , it would be ok with bigger map , ofcourse , but this town would be too small for 50+ players.

i made no point about the emplyoment of the average illarion-player, nor did i make remarks about players going to school or studying somewhere.
in average, there are about 8 to 10 players online (just have a look at the statistics).
currently, there are 7 boards hosted on this site. i think, my statement is quite true: the number of players online in illarion is about the number of boards (no matter what car you drive and independent of the speed of average raindrops falling on average swedish roofs between 10:00 and 11:00 on sundays between 1.1.200 and 31.12.2001 while people inside eat fish)
