Actually, the fishing rod can also be purchased from the halfling at the fields in Trolls Bane too.Pellandria wrote:Cooking spoons must be brougth from players, wooden shovel can be brought in greenbriar and an fishin rod can be obtained form the lizard in trolls bane, the one next to the hospital.

Is there a problem about asking ingame? Is it something a char new to Gobaith would KNOW without asking ingame? Is asking ingame a good way to get to know people?Pellandria wrote:This answer is frustrating and "stupid" if its just something normal as a few tools, only "secrets" should be told ingame.Cuthalion wrote:Suggestion: Find out these things ingame...
Remind me, who was being "stupid" again?

Yes it is when only 4 players or less are online.
Yes, because normally merchants would be well known on an island, thus a Char could inform himself on the boards.
As I said with only 4 or 6 people online it can take some time to find someone.
The "find out ingame" answer just scares away people and leaves a bad taste in your mouth "Oh yeah they know it, but they won't share such simple things-> I'm not welcomed here", but go ahead scare away a few other newbies.

A book with all this specific info?
I could easily create one (I have all the info written down in front of me here!), but as soon as I do, some GM or Dev will decide its too 'revealing' and delete it without a second thought. Its happened before.
Good idea, but I don't want my efforts to be killed by a narrow-minded view of what should be 'revealed' info, and what isn't. Honestly, it changes so much, I cant even keep up with what's OK, and what's not.
If it were up to me, I'd post every secret in the game somewhere accessible to 'characters' ingame. But I'm not a GM, am I?
And probably never will be!

This would help new chars a lot, or possibly putting some infomation on the wiki, with a library book that could point to the page of the wiki (if can possibly be done). I did notice when this char was ig, there was anywhere from 2-4 chars during this time ((sry tried to find you once LOL)) which is hard to be able to ask things ig during that time.Harald Hradradr wrote:Hm, maybe there should by a merchant listing at the library with the goods they trade. So, someone who reads that book gets to know where to buy and sell stuff...The answer then wood be go to the library! *g*
