Item: Trap Set

Post by Burin »

I was wandering around the forest, near the tavern. I was using my axe to chop down several trees. Soon, a trap appeared in front of me. Soon later, another one poped up near the mummies. Does anyone know any information of these "wooden traps"? I have one, but I'm not sure on how to work it. I found it strange when a hobbit offered me 20 ingots for it.

As this is obviously a Ingame Question i will answer IC:

Darlok:
"Fool, a simple Trapper set these traps and you stole them! Shame on you!"

i found one of the early ones but randelf took it when i dropped it and he broke it.

And i dont think anyone should sell them, because the buyer will be cheated as they will most likely be available to all soon......

Are they testing these things? because I saw one on the other side of the wall, the wall that is to the right of the glass melting oven then it dissapeared.

As Salathe said before, "Do not buy or sell them!" I do agree with that.
I have been doing some tests myself, and I only found out a couple of things from this item. I would like to speak to anyone who has ANY information about this item.

It seems Darlok has no clue. anyway, Salathe, ******** is *******. I don't think the traps do anything. Didn't Granboche say he tried standing on them? They remind me of lanterns, which i have heard of but haven't seen.

I have done many things, and I believe that this item does not do anything...yet. This item was probally made, just to test out the graphic or something. I don't know for sure if the item dissapears after a long while. I think it will dissapear after a long period of time. I set it on the ground and it didn't do anything. I probally have to wait longer, I'm not sure. For now, I'll just keep this item incase I need it some day.

I could have sworn i saw a trap the other way round, I mean the claws were at the other end, maybe you need one of both of these traps.

A snare needs to snap shut therefore it would require two parts giving it something to snap with.
