To the Merchants of Trollsbane
To Eliza and whomever else it might concern
Due to the warmongering, trade embargo and general hostility from the Dwarves of Silverbrand, I most urgently request that you shall open your businesses for the citizens of our town and visitors alike, beginning immediatly. We must be able to keep the town fed, clothed and armed during such difficult and confused times. We must be ready, before there is a dwarven army knocking at our gates.
You all are long-time inhabitants of the Town, and hence I have absolute trust in your will to keep the town able to defend itself even in such an unclear sitiuation. I hope, that you see the sense in my words and cease this unnecessary strike, which only serves to benefit those who want to bring our town under a foreign yoke.
It is not only for the benefit of the other citizens, but also for your own. A domestic confusion is better than foreign opression.

That is what the dwarves say. How long ago was it, when they swore friendship with our town? How long was it, that they threatened us with attack. Now they 'just' have broken all contracts and have placed an embargo on us. Don't be so naive, Dantagon. As the dwarves seem to change their mind faster than the wind, we can expect nothing but worst.
I would not be surprised if the dwarven forges were glowing red day and night, as their smiths forge weapons of destruction which they intend to use against our peaceful town.

Is this kind of exaggeration working as propaganda for you for the re-election, Edward? "Weapons of destruction which they intend to use against our peaceful town"? I haven't read such a corny thing since my last novel.
King Thorwald is not a dwarf that can't be spoken with. I shall try to meet with him and speak about the recent matters.
Zhambras blessings,
Lady Gwendolin Cad'ell

I suppose you were sitting in Silverbrand while things took place and failed to notice that the Dwarves have made ultimatums against our town, and openly threatened with war unless the elections were conducted under the schedule they demanded. They openly stated their intent to make our town their Vassal.
But of course, Thorwald is a friend of yours. He has no bad intentions. He wants to give children candy and turn the rivers of Silverbrand into honey and wine.
I have to wonder, if this kind of propaganda is working for your intention to bring the town under the dwarves?
No, I did not seriously suggest that, but I just find it ridiculous that you two still want to believe the best of the Dwarves who in reality want nothing but to gobble up more property within the town as their private posessions, conquer the town and bring the tax-money into the already obscenely full coffers of Silverbrand.
Wake up. Time for you to open your eyes and face the reality. We cannot, at the moment, trust the dwarves for anything else except for their unreliability as tradepartners and friends. As sad as that it might be. Whatever demands in regards to the death of Siltaris are new (Made while breaking all their treaties with the government of Siltaris.. Funny, no? They don't really give a damn, it's just a transparent excuse), and no such demands were made when they announced their hostile intentions for the first time.

The date when we reopen our shops was set. As soon as Trollsbane has one or more leaders on duty again.
The two who write here, ask us to open our shops. We ask you to get along with each other. The citizens of Trollsbane trust you both, and gave both of you the duty to lead that town. Deal with it.
As soon as the government of Trollsbane works again, the shops will be open.

Firstly, the population of Trollsbane is not limited to humans.
Secondly, "vasallisation" is hardly "establishing working government only". It is bringing Trollsbane under the yoke of Silverbrand, like everyone in their right minds should understand. Thirdly, your methods of 'trying to establish a working government' (If you wanna be naive and believe that, go ahead.. Methods include attack, vasallisation, constant demands, embargo, termination of agreements) seem very akward and counterproductive.
Nobody is taking that claim seriously at this point, Andril. You can claim that a wolf is a sheep for as long as you want, but your words don't make it so. Especially as everyone can see that the "sheep" growls and is constantly trying to bite things with its fangs.
