Sale price of items

Post by Tyrth Coshi »

Perhaps I just havent sold enough items yet, however it seems that all items are bought for only 2gold, regardless of what they are or the condition tehy are in. An exsample being that I accadently bought an extra pair of shoes for liek 10 or 12 gold, something like that, then sold it and only recived 2 gold.

So I was wondering if all items are 2 gold and if so, then perhaps a simple cost-to-sale ratio could be instituted untill the prices could be refined. something like at least 25% of the cost to buy it, or even 50 (Rather cliche, i know, but it's better then 2 gold!) .

I could cook up a simple VB proggie that could reduce all trhe item costs to the percentage you would specify in it. However, I would need a list of costs for all the items and I do not know what kind of output format would be readily useful to plug into the game.
Let me know if you want this, I need to practice my VB skills more anyways, I've got a final comming up in a cupple weeks.

The items are only worth 2g when you sell them at the shop to the NPC lizard (aka. Eliza), the reason being is to stimulate player to player trading where you could get more money for the items. And if you accidentally buy 2 items instead of one, it's pretty much tough luck, but at least you got it easy, I bought 2 magic books totaling 400g and I dont even understand the spell, but erm ... se la vie - that's life.
