Consequences and Vengeance

Her sight was slowly blurring, while the pain spread and covered every feeling of anger and fear. Only a few minutes ago her biggest worry was, that tonight she would have to make a decision. A decision between tradition and love, but now where it was growing dark infront of Nayelis eyes, she noticed that this night would be a decision between life and death.
It was Gazukull who she encountered a few meters beyond the gate of Trolls Bane. He just came his way from the teleporter and did not hesitate to draw his weapon at Nayelis sight.
Hatred blazed up in Nayeli as she examines the orc in the distance. Uncontrolled wrath, just like every time she saw someone of his race. They were all murderers, beasts, filthy, worthless creatures and how often Nayeli wished for the death of every single of them.

And even though Nayeli knew she would not be able to win this fight, her pride and rage striked her roots on the spot. An Ama-shoon wouldn't run away. Growling Gazkull headed towards her and tried to hit the young girl with his morning star, but it was easy for her and her swift feet to dodge the first blows. Her dagger swished past his 'defence' and cutted deep into his shoulder, but yet she had underestimate the giantic orc. Despite the bleeding wound, he wouldn't back away like she expected. It nearly seemed like the orcs mind was too dull to actually fully recognize the pain. Yet for this hit she had lost her view upon his weapon... and for now Nayeli would have to forfeit for it.

The last she felt was the sickess that overcame her.. before everything around her finally turned black.

A loud, nasty growl was sufficient to restrain the pain felt on his shoulder. His full attention was focused on the girl…the girl and the ongoing grudge he felt towards her. He could barely think of anything else, and in fact, the wound inflicted by his rival was hardly tangible. The successful sweep of his wooden mace against her head sent a devilish feeling of pleasure through the foul, grisly beast. It triggered a lopsided grin to appear on his nasty lips, a grin of satisfaction.

Seeing her there, helpless on the ground, he was overwhelmed with a strong desire of brutality and bloodshed, a fanatical appetite to crush her bones. However, for the moment it was better to spare her, as she would be of use to lure another of his targets. He was finding it hard to control that burning desire inside him, but he was careful not to lose his self-control.

Hence, putting the deadly cravings aside, he slipped his club into his thick, old belt and reached his large paw down to grab the motionless girl by her head. He lifted the poor victim a little up from the ground and strolled away in his usual slow but heavy gait, the girl’s feet trashing against the ground, as was the metal head of his morning star, carried on his other hand.

The radiant moon that mildly lit the surrounding environment was soon hid behind the elevated peaks of those vast, gigantic mountains. He knew of a cavern situated in the base of the mountain range, and inside there he lurked. With absolutely no care at all, he literally tossed the girl in the midst of that dark place, in which the stillness was only broken by the loud, nauseating breaths of the orc. The revolting stench that puffed out of his mouth gradually diffused into the air of that jagged grotto. He didn’t bother to give her any further attention to the girl after that. He simply turned and headed to the entrance of the cave, where he simply stood there with his gruesome eyes staring outside.

Pain. Her head was aching terrible and sent pulsating waves of pain through her body. There was no doubt that she was still alive... Nayeli wouldn't expect to wake up with aching bones in Chergas realm. Without opening her eyes she carefully raised her hand to rub over her forehead... she felt cold stone beneath her...

Suddenly her heart began racing. Gazkull had not killed her, yet had dragged her somewhere else. As her senses slowly returned to her she felt that her feet and legs were grazed and bloody. The young Ama-shoon tried to get a grip on herself and moved as she heard heavy steps on the cave ground approaching and not to forget the orcs stench that gave him away immediately. But it was too late. She teared her eyes open and tried to struggle against the orc that was grabbing her small upperarms with his massive hands. "Take your hands off me!", Nayeli yelled as she struggled and desperately tried to kick after him. "Damn orc, I should have aimed your heart!! Let me go!"
Gazkull tightened her grip on Nayelis arms and lifted her a little, the weight of the young girl was nothing to him, yet she winced under his tight grasp. "Nub going anywheres!", Gazkull growled lowly and tossed Nayeli back to the stoney ground. The hard fall blew any air out of Nayelis lung and she gasped heavily for breath. Too late she noticed the orcs approach and the next she felt was an exploding pain in right calf along with the noise of cracking bones.
A scream escaped the girl and she cringed.. before darkness once again surrounded her.

Kevin was well on his way to Trollsbane, wondering and worried over what took Nayeli so long to return, after all, she would be back by the time sun broke the peace of night.

He walked past the mountains wondering why she was taking such a time coming back, worried that perhaps something had happened, or that she just decided not to come back at all. Those thoughts hurt him obviously.
And as he heard the scream echoing down from the mountains to the path, the voice he had longed greatly, was heard, though not at all in the way he had hoped to hear it.

He quickly turned to the mountains, from wich the sound came, discarding his grey winter robe as he hurriedly attempted to find his way to the source of it, up the mountains...

The icy cold struck down into his bones, his hands and arms getting injured from the sharp rocks he forced himself to climb, and even as the cold made them seem a lot more painful, he went on, the thought of her driving him up the dangerous mountain slopes.

It was the sudden, merciless stomp against the victim’s leg that caused the girl to scream so loudly. The orc was fed with pleasure and satisfaction by the hearing of that painful shriek.

"Yoo hab do stay here!"

He ordered to her, speaking with his harsh, gravelly voice, even if she was gradually losing consciousness again. Noticing her being motionless again, he sighed in a loud, unpleasant manner, and then made his way towards the cave’s opening for the second time.

He actually wasn’t all too sure of what to do next. He needed some way to allure the target he had in mind. Just how could he do that? A few minutes had passed and nothing definite came to mind for the simple-minded orc. The injured Nayeli was already regaining her senses little by little and Gazkull alertly turned around to face the little girl upon hearing a few motions coming from her.

Somehow at that point, the orc was enlightened with an idea. He plodded towards Nayeli, and reached his hand for her arm, grabbing it sorely tight. Despite her injured leg, she still struggled, trying to break free of his grasp, but the orc never showed any intention of loosening his hold. Realizing this, Nayeli even tried to bite the orc’s arm, ignoring the sickening taste of his skin. Her teeth only sunk weakly into his tough skin, causing mild pain to the beast, but great irritation. And with that feeling, he released his grip to her hand just to cuff her ruthlessly hard against her cheek.

Her perseverance still didn’t dwindle as yet; she still hassled and fought back, not giving it in to the orc. Nonetheless, pitiful was her resistance. Annoyed by her continuous struggles, Gazkull grabbed the girl by her shoulders and heartlessly slammed her against the ground for a few times until her movements seized. At that point, the cold-blooded brute snatched his crummy dagger from his belt and without any scruples, slit a fairly deep cut on her upper arm. A second scream of agony was inevitable from the girl, but he couldn’t care less. He hastily dropped the dagger on the floor and took out a ragged parchment.

Another slam forced the girl to stay more or less still again, whilst with his free hand, he smudged his fingers with her blood, and scribbled a messy letter. Upon completing that, he released the pitiable youngster and stood straight up.

"Meh will beh back soon. Yoo nub go anywheres or meh will chob yob head off."

Having uttered his warning, he turned around and headed out of the cavern after grabbing his morning star again. Through the foot of the mountains he walked, his green, brawny stature distinguishable from the surroundings. He would fail to notice any presences around; his attention could only be caught by a fairly loud noise in the vicinity.

In that midst of the night, he skulked into Troll’s Bane and found his way straight to the boards. He carelessly pinned that note he carried and immediately traveled back. He had no more business to do in the town for the moment. Thus, within a few minutes, he was back in that rough grotto, keeping a watchful eye on the girl as well as on the entrance of that place.

Nayelis sight was slightly blurred as she looked after the orc leaving the cave. She thought of standing up but every inch of her body hurt and she would not know how far she would get with a broken leg down this mountain... She clasped onto the cut on her arm and groaned slightly. The pain was numbing her mind and it was impossible to have any clear thought.

So she lied there, quietly and not moving for some time, slipping in and out of consciousness, til she took notice of the dagger that Gazkull had dropped and not picked up again. Slowly but determined she reached for the dagger and lifted it to hide it behind her...
As she heard the steps of the returning orc, Nayeli closed her eyes... the right moment would come for sure.

((Sorry about the weird alinea's and stuff... I need to stop using wordpad for this..))

Though the other painfull screams where deffinetly something he
didn't want to hear, they did lead the way, they pressed him on
indicating she was still alive, but at the same time they hurt him
more than the cold and the sharp rocks combined could possibly do,
two times he had cut himself on the rocks... the first time a meager
scratch, but the second time it went a bit worse... he was climbing
up a steep ledge, tired, drained and hungry he lost his balance as
one of the rocks chipped, slinging aside with his back against the
rock face, his arm being pushed down onto a sharp spike, he stared
down for a moment... he could still see the path he was taking
before, peacefully it lay there many meters below him, to fall would
mean to break every possible bone in his body from this height, not a peaceful thought...

Shouldn't he have come...? Maybe he shouldn't have taken the
chance... it was of no use dieing, neither for him nor the girl he
was out to save.
Too late... he had to continue now, he pulled himself together,
lifting himself up a bit with the power of just that one arm, biting
down onto his teeth as he pulled it away from the rock to be able to
turn, it cutting into him just a bit further as he did, but soon
enough finding another part to stand on with his feet.

Kevin looked around, trying to find the nearest slightly larger
foothold wich he could stand on, not so far below him was a big one,
he could almost jump the distance to it... but.. going there would
mean loosing time, perhaps too much time, perhaps just that little
bit of time he needed... several meters above was another, it was a
little smaller but he could stand on it.

So he went up, biting down onto his teeth hard as the sharp cold
penetrated the wound, biting into his flesh as if it was a mad ferret
that had been caged for far too many hours. After a gruesomely tiring 10
meter climb he had nearly reached it, but then as he grabbed onto the
final rock he would need, it broke off, and again he nearly fell,
holding on just with one foot and a hand... though this time it was
somewhat easier, he managed to swing himself upto the larger
foothold, attempting to grab something between his boots, a little
rock, anything... if he couldn't find anything it would mean a fall,
a long fall that would ultimately end in death.

Though luck was on his side, even as he was very near panicing he
managed to find a solid piece of rock to wich he could cling his
feet, he did so and then managed to pull himself further onto the
foothold, though the rough surface's scratching against him did not
help, on several parts his thin leather armourments ripped, and exposed his skin to the rocks.

Then the tired young man lay there for some moments, his head
still hanging over the edge, though eyes closed. He slowly moved to
sit whilst breathing heavily, and then to stand, all in all this took
several minuites.

He then ripped off an already torn piece of cloth from the lower
parts of his trousers, wrapping it around his arm tightly to stop the
bleeding, even though his bodies reaction to the cold had already
slowed the flow of his blood in it's whole. But all in all, he was
still worn out and injured.

Though as he scrounged his belt to see if he had lost anything he
found in a small leather pocket, a healing potion, he stared
thoughtfully for a moment at the green liquid...

Nayeli might need this more... more than I need it...but... can I get to her.. can I save her..
without it?

Kevin then nodded quickly to himself, uncorking the bottle and taking
just a minor sip, no more than a third of it's contents.
And as he felt the invigorant giving him partly his strength and
energy back, he quickly put the cork back into the bottle, and the
bottle where it belonged also.

The resting part of the climb went reasonably easy, even though the cold continuously tourmented and tired his body, it was not as hard anymore as the other parts of the climb, and with renewed energy he soon reached his destination, looking around and finding only a single possible place where she could be hidden from him, wich was the cave she had indeed been imprisoned in.

As he moved towards it anctiously now of what lay within the dawning of a new day came, a still faint light quickly growing to the intensity of the sun. Kevin cautiously drew his mace, and armed with only that, his mind, and perhaps the advantage of the sun soon revealing what was inside of the grotto, whilst blinding just that wich skulked within.
He was afraid.. afraid of what hurt Nayeli.. and of the ammount she had been hurt.

And though he tried to be rather silent, the rocks still rabbled under his feet, revealing a presence to Gazkull and Nayeli clearly.

Gazkull grunted as he turned to look at what to him now could just be seen as a black shape indication something of human origin.
