((open RP - for now))

A small galley, having two masts with closed sails, oared into the harbor, slowing down more and more as it approached closer to the coast. After docking, a shout came from the crew and the ropes that held the long wooden plank were released, causing it to slam down to the surface, setting up a link between the ship and ground. Two soldiers ruffled along the established passage, and stepped into the land of Gobaith. Both were fully armored from head to toe, dressed in chain armor with a thin white sleeveless leather vest over it that bears an insignia of a cross, and finally, a pot helmet that entirely concealed their faces.

After a short discussion, one of them set afoot and followed the path and the sign posts. His gait was lofty as he kept his back straight and chin up. One hand rested absently on the handle of his sheathed long sword, while the other swinged back and forth smoothly with every step.

"Finally. A town in sight."

The soldier mumbled to himself as he caught the hazy glimpse of the walls of Trollsbane. He proceeded through the west gate, and headed towards the centre, just beside the well. Despite being a total stranger to the place, he maintained his haughtiness and his proud posture.

As he came to a stop, he pulled his helmet out, revealing his short black hair, and what could be interpreted as his arrogant, unfriendly visage. Holding the helmet under his armpit, and with his other hand still unmoved on the sword's hilt, he remained there, keeping a vigilant eye for any passers-by.

He would have been surprised to encounter races such as orcs, goblins, fairies, or gnomes, but he would also disregard them totally, with nothing more then an indirect glance at them. Humans were his main interest, though he considered elves and dwarves aswell. On meeting either of the last three races, he would immediately greet with a questioning tone.

"Sir?" directed to a male, while "Ma'am?" would have been aimed at females.

*A youthful rather tall human male makes his rounds around the city of Trolls Bane examining all the trees and plants to make sure they are surviving the harsh winter and the renegade lumberjack that has been hacking down all the trees ignoring city law. As he approaches the south gate he encounters the well armored man and briefly waves to him on his approach. He is wearing a simple brown over cloak that covers the length of his body with a hood resting on his back. Dark untamed brown hair rests at his shoulders prominently the leftside of his face is scorched with old burn marks the only distraction for your gaze would be his vibrant forest green eyes that aways try to make eye contact. With a friendly voice he says:

"Zhambra's Greetings upon you Sir." nods briefly as he goes to check on his favorite tree in all of Trolls Bane, the eldan oak, after his inspection he turns agian to face the man with one hand poised upon the tree.

The solider locks his gaze into the man as he approaches, but otherwise, he remains perfectly still. He stays silent while watching the man move on towards the tree, and only after, he speaks again.

"Aye, Zhambra's Greetings."

He then takes a short pause, letting his gaze shift to the sky and squinting his eyes lightly.

"I am seeking some help, sir, but there's a thing I would like to know, before."

Once again, he lets his eyes meet the man's before he carries on.

"Tell me, sir, how long have you been on this isle?"

All the long way from the burnt Villa Seahorse in the west of the town, passing the workshop and Hospital and now heading towards the bridge leading to the Shop and Marketplace, a woman was accompanied by a man who followed her two or three steps behind. All the way long, while the two passed all the houses, the two were steadily in a talk, the man making notes on a parchment in his hands. When leaving the Seahorse, one who would have just arrived with the help of a Portal Book might have heard some single male words...

"No, the wood is not delivered yet.... yes... we will have to wait until spring with the planting of the trees... no, I have not seen a little boy playing in these ruins..."

While they passed the workshop the woman's words could be heard, if noone was currently slashing the hammer down on the ambos to form an awry blade.

"...cellar... to have space for... ...ladder ... workers and bricks.... got that?"

They headed on towards the bridge as the woman pointed towards the ground floor of the library, before they crossed the small stream.
In front of the Shop they stopped and the woman turned to the man who kept on following her. He still was making some notes on a parchment while she spoke

"And finally, the reserve under the shop. We need quite a few bricks for that as well as some wooden boards. I hope you you can organise that, Yemidus. And would you count the number of these materials we need, please?"

The adjutant hurried to scribble down the order on the paper, before he looked at her and bowed his head.

"Of course, Governor, of course. I will care for that immediately."

He was already about to leave when she added

"...and remember to listen more carefully to the dwarves' words next time..."

She looked how he walked away, quite in a hurry. Then she turned and let her gaze wander over the market place. She saw the forester standing there talking to a stranger. Not wanting to interrupt them, she just raised her hand to wave slightly to him. Even not sure if he noticed her, Siltaris turned and walked slowly towards the door of the Shop.

The soldier's eyes travelled to the woman who seemed to be giving orders to the man following her. He didn't mind if he could have seemed impolite to the forester, or possibly even interrupt him. He showed concern as she continued with her demands.

At her waving, he nodded to her, and greeted her in the same questioning tone but with a little raised voice for her to hear.

"Ma'am?"

After his call, he looked to the man by the tree with a smirk. He seemed to be aware of his impoliteness, but remained indifferent to it. His regard then varied from one person to the other, ready to listen or see the man's likely reactions, and awaiting for the lady to possibly approach closer.

*after turning to the well armored man Eli goes silent there is a long pause as he looks deep in thought some sweat drips from his forehead but it doesn't seem to protrude from physical labor but some sort of stress he stares at the building called the Seahorse that lies in ruins now, apparrently a fire has burned most of it. Seeing Siltaris seems to snap him out of his daydream and he quickly bows to the Governor and gives a short, "Greetings"

*Focusing his attention back to the Soldier Eli shakes his head ever so slightly trying to snap himself out of his lull. "Pardon me Sir, I was trapped in my own thoughts briefly. My name is Eli Travinus Forester of Trolls Bane, and yes I have been here for over a year now my I assist you in anyway?"

When she heard the man's voice, she stopped and turned her head again to the man. Different from the first very brief look at him, now she noticed that it was not the one she thought it would be. In the heavy armor though, the two looked quite similar.

She looked into his eyes. Her deep moss green eyes shined quite bright in the sun as wanting to be a contrast to the stranger standing in the well's shadow.
In the moment she had recognised that he was not a known person, particulary not the person she thought it would be, she regretted a bit to have waved to him.

Finally, after a long moment of focussing him, she lifted the corners of her lips to an indicated smile and bowed her head very slightly. One strand of hair falled softly in front of her eyes when she did so. Not caring much about that she turned and continued her walk to the Shop. Her left hand rested intuitively on the hilt of the gleaming sword at her side. A quick look to her right hand side to Eli, accompanied by a friendly smile and
"Greetings Eli" then she was at the door and about to enter the house.

The man returned a similar bow, which was only as a reaction to hers. As his lips parted, about to speak, he was surprised at the woman's decision to head into the building. He said or did nothing to oppose that, and with a slightly disappointed look, he simply watched her move away.

The moment she came within reach of the door, he detached his interest on her and, very slowly, he let his gaze meet the eyes of the individual by the tree once again.

He took some time before he spoke to him, in an unhurried way and expressive of disdain.

"More than a year, hm?"

At that point, he glanced around in a leisure motion and carried on.

"The fact is, we are in search of a particular person. Might you lead me to someone, who would be best to aid me?"

After ending his sentence, he looked straight into the stranger's eyes once more, his facial expression remaining subtle but calm.

Walking about town wearing her usual leather armor with a quiver on her back and bow in hand, she appears to be looking for a particular person. Almost every place she goes she would stop to talk a few minutes with someone she knew or greet those she didn't know, most shaking their head to her question as she again moves on. Then at her last stop with brown eyes sparkling and a smile warming her face, her walk quickens and standing next to him after whispering a greeting while reaching for his hand, she then turns to the stranger opening her mouth slightly as if to introduce herself but stops abruptly seeing his calm but intense look at Eli.

Having just arrived from a ship at dock in the dead of night, throwing on her cap, with some strands of red hair still hanging down, she walks quickly with her head down mostly unobserved. However if anyone did glance her way they may think she is a boy going about errands as her loose fitting clothes and cap hide most of her features unless they come close to see her face.

Of those she passes, her furtive eyes look at their belts to see what is of interest to her as she eats the apples she picked, her stomach not hurting as much now.

Stopping abruptly seeing a familiar view of an apparent noble figure in chain armor she hides behind the nearest concealment dropping to her knees in the grass without making a sound, her apple in hand forgotten.

*meets the Soldiers gaze with his green eyes, blinks a few times as the sun shines brightly upon him. At Kaila's approach he smiles broadly and takes the hand he had on the tree and holds her hand affectionately.

*whispers, "Greetings Love"

*turns his attention back to the soldier and replies kindly, "Well I do know quite a few people on the isle, who are you looking for in particular? It would be my pleasure to do my best to help you."

*gives a small nod at the completion of his words

The armored personage faced the elfess as he caught a side glimpse of her, and his eyes travelled down and up her body, not ashamed to bear an expression that could be characterized by lust, another smirk tracing itself on his lips. At the moment she approached the forester, he peeked at their hands, then finally looked back at the man, remaining totally indifferent to his actions.

He listened carefully to the man's words, but soon and quickly, lost interest, nodding to him as if wanting to finish his sentence off. Following that point, he bent his head down and curled the fingers of one hand, examining his nails. As he begins to speak again, he slowly locks his apethic gaze into the man's yet again.

"Sir, you are but just a forester. I don't want to go around asking every one I meet about this person. The affairs involved might be of a personal level."

Odd as it may have appeared, for a moment there, the arrogance in his face seemed to have disappeared totally, replaced by a soft and sympathetic look. His voice, free from it's harsh feeling was now tagged by a gentle indulgent tone.

"You do understand me, don't you?"

As soon as he would hear the first sound of a reply, his facial expression would fade away, resuming his usual confident and unfriendly countenance.

As regarding the concealed women, he remained completely oblivious to her, nothing that could have made him aware of her presence.

*Shows no sign of jealousy noticing the man's gaze toward the elfess and only holds Kaila's hand, nudging her once with a smile across his face then responds to the soldiers comment with a smooth somewhat diplomatic response.

"Indeed, but please do not mistake my kindness for caring about your situation. If you are searching someone I would be happy to oblige. Otherwise I shall avoid your personal affairs Soldier, good day and Zhambra guide your way."

*nods briefly then turns to speak with Kaila in a lowered voice, "How has the day treated you......."

The soldier replied none at first, watching the two as they whispered with each other, but he did not grasp any word they said. It only took a few seconds until he spoke again, not bothering if he could be interrupting them.

"Does this town have a leader? Someone who leads it? Nobles?"

He shrugs after his last word and, still with no change of emotion accompanying his facial expression, he waits patiently for the man's response.

out of earshot, but not out of sight, an elderly tall man is sitting in the sun, with his bare back leaning against a tree.
a big axe lying beside him in the grass.
greyish red hair and beard, a torn leathershirt on his lap, showing a couple of bloody bandages on his body.
he leisurely plaids some fine stripes of rawhide into thongs, while observing the body language of the people yonder.

*shakes his head and looks playfully at Kaila and then gives a short laugh like she just told him a joke. He playfully pushes her shoulder with a cheerful grin and makes eye contact with her the whole time looking completely in love with her. As the man interrupts Eli pays no mind to it, in fact he turns to the man with a half smile and responds promptly and politely

"You saw her briefly early with the man following, she is the elected Governor of Trolls Bane. Her name is Siltaris and you can typically find her in Eliza's shop which is in the north east of town just follow the pathway and their should be a sign post to mark it. If she is not there she will definitely be around town throughout the day. Good luck finding her and I hope to see you in the future, I'll buy you a drink."

*bows agian to the soldier his untamed brown hair flows across his face on both cheeks then slides back to his shoulders as he rises. Takes a hand running it through his hair to position the stray strands out of his face. Keeps his hand palmed on the back of his neck looking rather tired and turns once agian to Kaila and whispers:

"Care to accompany somewhere so I may clean myself up a bit?"

"Doyle" listens behind her concealment, being able to hear all but the whispers yet appears as if she has an idea of the gist of it if anyone saw her smile. Peaking around the tree seeing the shoulder of someone sitting on the other side, barely breathing, her hand reaches toward his belt but spying the axe, she moves over just the slightest bit, almost touching the handle until she hears the armored man. As soon as he mentions "nobles" her hand darts back in concealment and smoothly rising from her knees she slowly and carefully backs away from the tree.

Upon hearing 'she is elected governor', a sudden reaction came to him, looking blatantly amused to those words, and at that instant he blurted out with a tone of disbelief.

"A woman, governor?"

Realizing his raised voice, he brought his loosely closed fist just close to his mouth and cleared his throat. He then turned to stare in the direction of Eliza's shop, squinting his eyes lightly. He nodded shortly to himself and mumbled under his breath.

"Siltaris it is. This will be interesting."

Leaving his hand from his sword's handle, he arranged his belt a little, then took a deep breath before he headed to the shop with his distinctive snooty stride.

He gave no more attention to the forester, and he would proceed to the building unless otherwise interrupted. If not, he would make it straight into Eliza's shop in search for this woman named Siltaris. The thoughts of her giving orders to the man roamed in his mind again, and this gave him a somewhat thrilled feeling and triggered a silly self-conscious smile on his lips.

When the stranger came closer to the Shop's door Siltaris was turned towards the lizard behind the table, listening to Eliza's hissing.

"...my weaponsss have high qualitiesss. Jussst look at thisss sssword. Sssharp and ssshining. I am sssure you have never ssseen a better one."

Siltaris responded with a reserved look into Eliza's eyes. Her hand still rested at the hilt of her sword at her side. Eliza seemed to notice that the Governor was not really convinced and after a look at the shining sword Siltaris' hand layed on, Eliza sheathed her own sword and put it back under the table. Before the Lizard could say something or take out another sword, Siltaris spoke with clear and friendly voice

"I know you have good quality weapons. The point is that people in town seem not to be satisfied with the quality of your wares. It is not really important what I think on myself in this issue, but all I want is to ask you to think about appropriate prices for your wares."

The lizard bowed respectfully. "Of courssse, Sssiltarisss. I will sssee what I can do."

Siltaris nodded a bit with a friendly slight smile on her face. "Thank you." and stepped back, slowly walking through the shop to the door leading into the room in the back of the building, not glancing through the room and not noticing the stranger who might already be in the Shop. If the stranger's voice would not interrupt her walk, she would sit down at the table in the second room of the Shop with her back towards the wall, so she could see who enters and leaves the shop through the side door of the Shop. She would take out a parchment , lay it on the table and start to read it after a while.

"...keep the change. And no, be ensured that i will most likely not try to ruin it in the unwise madness of trying to shape it into anything...useful... by my very self, it would possibly turn red from all the punctures this would cause to my finger tips anyhow, if i would." The elf, obviously just finished haggling with the other merchant in the back part of the shop, speaks with a slightly ironic, almost a bit cynical sounding tone in the melodic voice which is typical for the most elves, while he takes up a small roll of somewhat expensive looking yellow cloth, nodding a goodbye to the man behind the counter who stores away a handful of coins with a grin, also nodding to the elf.

Damien turns around, being quite tall for an elf and even appearing a bit taller with the worn looking red wizard hat on his head. While his face does not seem to show much emotion, his grey-silverish eyes move across the room, resting on Siltaris' face as he enters the middle room of the shop just as she is sitting down.
He wears a red, heavy looking robe with yellow trim and black ( perhaps elven ) runes covering cloth, underneath obviously tight dark pants and a dark shirt. Under his left arm he now carries a small roll of cloth while carrying a carved staff in the right, which rests on his shoulder almost as if it was a club.

"Oh, Siltaris. Be greeted," he nods towards her, throwing a short side-look over her shoulder towards Eliza, who rummages around under her desk. "it really looks as if you took up the lovely task of trying to teach this old lizard the principles of fair business." his left eyebrow raises a little, perhaps showing slight amazement or just a bit of curiosity.

the barbarian stands up, takes his axe and shirt in one hand, he limps barechested to the shop.
entering the shop, he first sees the elf.
quickly making the sign against the evil eye, he othewise ignores the sorcerer.
his eyes wandering further he notices the gouverness and the secretary.

"be greeted, guv'ner! fine to see yer."

and turns to go over to the merchant, who sells clothing.

"hey, ya, o'er there! sell me cloth fo' bandages, a needle an' sum' thread!"

Opening the door, the middle-aged man made his way past the threshold and into the shop, a few seconds after the barbarian did. His attention was instantly caught by the woman and the bowing lizard, to which he let out a barely audible half laugh while shaking his head briefly.

Motionless for now, he watched the woman silently as she proceeded into the adjacent room. It was that moment that he crossed the room he was situated in, his head constantly facing the lizard trader, revealing a mocking smile on his lips, though little did Eliza realize. As he passed through the inner doorway, he encountered the mage-appearing elf and the town's governor, who was just taking a seat.

The soldier scrutinized the tall elf hastily, and beyond that point, the interest in him ceased. Eyes turning and focusing on the lady, he spoke out promptly, very possibly cutting short the last of the elf's words.

"Hello there, sweetheart."

Despite him knowing her title, he acted ignorant to the respect she deserved. An amused look settled on his face, and his eyes stared intently into hers while he waited eagerly for her reaction.

at the clear and loud words, the barbarian turns around, looks at the warrior with his pot-helmet under his arm, from him to the gouverness and chuckles.

"... sweeetheart....."

he chews on that word, like he would on a delicious fat lump of roast....

ignoring the merchant behind him he divides his attention between the pothead warrior and the sweet gouverner.

She was just entering the second room, when she was forced to notice the barbarian due to his ever so friendly voice

"be greeted, guv'ner! fine to see yer."

Not really in the mood to talk to a crude man from the north, she just nodded briefly to him and made her way behind the table to the chair. She pulled the chair back. While she did so, her thoughts wandered unintentional to the far north of Gobiath to a person who was different than all these harsh men. Harsh men like the one who stood in front of the merchant right now. A person she desired to...

"Oh, Siltaris. Be greeted"

She looked up, forgetting her thoughts after a short moment and then she recognised the elf. Her lips formed to a friendly smile and her head bowed intuitively.

"it really looks as if you took up the lovely task of trying to teach this old lizard the principles of fair business."

The last words of the elf were hard to understand, since another quite loud voice raised, coming from the door in front of her.

"Hello there, sweetheart."

She moved her eyes to the stranger, not turning her head, and examined him. She recognised his appearance, having passed him just a few moments before at the well.
Her gaze did not rest long upon him. She turned herself more towards the elf and tried to demonstrate the stranger that such behaviour is nothing she appreciates. While she raised her voice to answer the elf she thought to herself for a quick moment
"Yet another barbarian..."

"Indeed, at least I try to do so. Maybe it is a task doomed to failure but I will try to keep on talking to her..." she pointed to the roll of cloth with a friendly smile on her face, "...but it seems that there are still some people selling good wares which even meet the claims of the astute folks from Tol Vanima?"

She rested her gaze upon the elf, and ignored the stranger who just spoke to her. She stood next to the chair, which still was pulled back. Her right hand laid on the backrest of the chair, while the other arm just hung down at ther side, the fingers of her left hand touching the stell of her sword. The dark grey robe with black stripes here and there she was clothed in was not buttoned up, so parts of a silver shining armor could be seen beneath. Black leather pants appeared beneath the bottom of her robe and ended in leather boots. All in all she might not seem to be dressed like some stranger might think the leader of the biggest town on Gobiath would be dressed. She rather made the impresion of a warrior dressed in sort of formal clothes.

The elf's silverish eyes move over the entering person for a few moments, perhaps calculating or estimating something (searching for marks on his armor or clothing which could give a hint about his ranks or origins), but not paying too "obvious" attention to the human. He then nods towards Siltaris, a short smile moving over his face for a moment. "Of course. Although i must admit that the amount of available ressources here is generally considerable low, usually."

Her reaction was similar to what he had expected, and this instigated a widening impish smile on his lips, partly exposing his white upper teeth. He knew perfectly well she would be displeased by his ill-mannered salutation, and it was plainly for self amusement.

His keen gaze was never allowed to detach from the female dignitary, even as she faced the elf and spoke to him. At least this time, he gave her and the elf the time to utter their words, but his rudeness just couldn't dissolve completely, as he then spoke out again, giving not the least opportunity for the governor to respond again.

"Stubborn are we?"

He went on with his way of self-enjoyment, but this time, as he carried on, he aimed at a particular goal, a reaction he hoped to receive from her, words he hoped to hear.

"Not the best way to greet the tenderfoot eh?"

In the meantime, he always remained static by the doorway, blocking the passageway from one room to the other. He was in his usual posture, that was more of a habit. This constituted of his helmet under his arm and the sword's handle supporting his hand. The smile he carried persisted, as he was still anxious to hear her response.

the barbarian turns back to the merchant, who laid out the demanded goods.
after rummaging in his kiltpouch, the barbarian comes up with afistfull of coins.
putting them on the counter, he says:

"take, whot yer need, me man..."

after looking at the needle:

"but put me som' thread in that tiny prick, will ya?"

he rips of some stripes from the cloth, unwinds the boody bandage from his right forearm, letting it fall to the ground.
taking the prepared needle, he begins to stitch up the still bleeding gash in his arm.

"...FFFT! ...civiloized hospitalitee..."

speaking to no one in particular.

Damien's face shows about the expression of a stone except for perhaps being slightly curious or annoyed, as he turns his head towards the human, now clearly examining the figure. Possibly waiting for Siltaris to respond, he keeps his eyes on the knight.
