Bug in "First-Minute" Client

Post by Bror »

Whoever downloaded the Client in the first few minutes (<10) of the new download received a bugy client.
It is a good idea to wait with the download a few minutes after a new version is released. I can only test the Client under absolute real conditions when I do the update, so some (small) bugs may appear in the first minutes.
Now it should be save to download.

So this is a big 'un then huh? 2.48 mb. Is this with the new halfling graphics? Or is that even later still?

I trieds to sew some from leather, but I can only make bags boots and glvoes all of a sudden... :?: :?:

I have experienced similar results.. My leather objects are gone... Is it because there are new graphics for them? Or were you just being mean? ;) Another problem.. I have lost all my names.. even though I had a back-up copy, those wont work either...

@Cain

A copy frome the name.dat have only sense if you use Windows 2000, with all different operating systems it seems that it dont work.

Which concerns the leather goods, they do exist stil, but apparent nobody can see it

P.S.: We have discussed the same topic in German on this forum *grins*

@Paul It´s not the right forum to talk about the buisness from your char, this can´t help the people to find a solution for their problems.

Excuse my rudeness but, how can you possibly LIKE the new client? Have you seen the grass, sheep, or water? Have you seen the absurd size of the female hafling? Have you tried actually using it, it's too dark to see most things in your inventory. In my oppinion the graphics took a large leap backwards, In the words of Shi Long "I fear I may recieve eye cancer".

Downloaded the recent client, and all the sudden it doesn't work... Infinite black screen, and I don't believe that the server is down.

I have trouble interpreting this message, so help me if the problem isn't solved.

The lost items will be solved with the patch.

Sorry Bror, I was kind of thinking out loud. What I was pointing out is that the download indicated a big change, since the file size was 2.48 megabytes. I was also curious if the halfling graphic was imported yet.
