Illness..
It got very annoying with that coughing and sneezing now. Couldn't the thing be changed, so that a person who was cured once, can't get the illness again? I had to cure my character four times now.

Wrong, I can prove that easily since I log everything concerning the desease. You're all infecting eachother again, some people infected eachother 5 times in a row (meaning: just two people involved...).Samantha Meryadeles wrote:wrong. after being cured you quickly get infected again. even if noone sick is around you.
So yes, a lot of people seem to be too stupid
I developed and programed that illness and I think I know it rather good. And I can asure you: Wrong again.its hopeless. it is enough to walk a place someone sick was before to get infected too.
Not needed.and be sure that noone has time to goi into the wilderness for days while a lich is around, threatening all
Every once healed character is immune now for some time (several hours).

Please look up the meaning of the word "now" in the dictionary of your choice. Thank you.abcfantasy wrote:Erm...Not that I want to complain but...My char did get the message 'You suddenly feel better now', but I'm pretty sure that in much less than an hour he got sick again.martin wrote:Every once healed character is immune now for some time (several hours).

the "several hours" part implied that you would be immune for longer than "now"martin wrote:

Edit: Unless he means he just changed the programming to mean that once you're cured thats it, you cant get it anymore?

He could have said that also in a less flaming and polemic stile
the problem is, we will never get rid of the sickness. it is impossible to have EVERY single char be cured without infecting anyone other again. there will be ever a player who came to late, who havent knew, or who simply doesnt care. or those who have fun at infecting others again. he just walks near someone, and everything starts again.
honestly...this way the sickness wont be defeated just through player actions.

I didn't flame anyone.Samantha Meryadeles wrote:He could have said that also in a less flaming and polemic stile![]()
The day will come when you stop crying. Hopefully.the problem is, we will never get rid of the sickness.
However, where would we, the developers, be without your witty suggestions.
Blah.

Im sorry, but Im sure its very possible to be less harsh in your replies and deal with it without getting annoyed, or atleast sounding annoyed. If someone else says something rough to you fine, they shouldnt have, but if you reply just as rough or worse, it just begins to spiral.martin wrote:

THAT is flame, martin. and the way you wrote the other answers is flame too. and you flamed a few days ago in the ooc topic. you use the whole time a flaming language. that means you write your postings in a way the one reading them feels attacked, and maybe even insulted. you don't answer in a normal tone. no,your answers ever leave a bad taste by those to whom you adress your postings. they have the feeling you tried to be mean to them with the way you answred. and often that cause arguements, right now for example. and THAT is flaming. The day will come when you stop crying. Hopefully.

I also have some concerns about those diseases, but maybe you welcome those changes first, test them (keep in mind: Illarion is an alpha under constant development) and note what you don't like and why and what can be done to improve this feature. After some time, some changes aren't that bad anymore than they used to be...
Note that I am not in favour of half of the ingame population running around, suffering and ailing.
